Every single plant since the year One, has scattered its seeds randomly. Who says we have to plow, and that we must own the land in squares and run machines and spray chemicalson it, and sell exclusively to one market chain which decides what it is worth according to their own marketing campaign?

exactly--since I was a child I never comprehended the exclusive ownership of land masses, and always wanted to know how far down did that 'ownership 'go. To China? Japan? (From whence came The Green Dragon Gift Shop where I spent some of my hard-earned allowance) And what about seed balls? Here in TO. Occupy Gardens was getting into that, in the spring. Isn't there a book called "one straw revolution"? --It's about a Japanese farmer's methods. Eminently sensible--seed rolled into clay balls, and scattered. Then, when the proper conditions arise, in nature, the clay dissolves, and releases the seed. Clay that is mineral-rich, and includes straw, for mulch.
In this vein,
One of my all-time favourite books is called The Timeless Way of Building--and there's a second volume called A Pattern Language. What a gem. It shows how our language actually shapes what we create--Look at the brevity of language currently with its rough acronyms and military-induced rapperisms. And many would argue -perhaps correctly- that English is a language of business, and little else. Well, then dip into The Ttimeless Way of Building --
Here's what WIki says about it.

The Quality Without a Name is what it alerts us to. And once you see it, you never again can *quite* sink beneath it. (though circumstances might test one's limits :-))
and here's The One-Straw Revolution: more than a book on farming

Haven't seen the film--as we don't have TV.
The old song is right--we've got to get ourselves back to the garden--except now, we can't go 'back' --but there are other directions, dimensions. The thing is, not to sink into anger or bitterness, which is low vibration, and can be used as 'power' to drive the fear-driven machinery. We should be a little like 'seed balls' ourselves, in that we
patiently wait for the right conditions, and don't waste our life-force in the wrong places--where we rely on anything unnatural to sustain us. Light, mineral-rich, with a little straw for softness. ...sounds good
