enemas are generally enervating and therefore contrary to the purpose of fasting: to conserve and rebuild your energy stores, but in extreme cases of constipation,
Shelton would consent to them at the beginning of, or just before a fast.
Your pre-fast diet may have contributed to this as in not enough fibre (soluble and insoluble), but also insufficient fluid intake can cause the same.
If the constipation is causing discomfort as you say, I would undergo one. It is very early days yet on your fast, so shouldn't prove to be that much of an interference/hindrance, or affect the outcome in any significant way.
Post fast ensure that your diet provides sufficient if not exclusive use of fruits and vegetables to prevent this from occurring again.
