start with 100mg minimum. it works like a charm.
i got the hint for this listening to dr brownstein (or flechas, lol) about the uptake problems they were encountering with their standard 50mg dose. he just slipped it in there. he said that 3000mg of vitamin C seemed to fix the problem but that also increasing the dose would fix it as well.
well, i was already doing half a gram of
Lugols like shots of tequila on cinco de mayo so i suggested this to others. the ease with which the body could handle this amount compared to taking less was amazing. in fact, the more testimony i hear, it seems the less you take, if youre really toxic or halogen imbalanced, the WORSE it is for you. early on in this forum we created some real enemies to
Iodine supplementation due to this phenomenon. their experiences had them convinced they we were gonna kill somebody by suggesting, at that time, 50mg a day like the
Iodine docs. the worst ones - those who had been on fluoridated SSRIs for an extended period of time. [sigh]
also, curiously, the
Iodine docs never mentioned these reactions by their patients. i think, more than anything, its a testament to the power of the mind and the absolute authority people give the whitecoats. they still had the detox, but never questioned the methods or materials of the doctors so the doctors didnt hear much about it. it has been mentioned recently by them, i believe, but they didnt get nearly the complaints that us crazies did on this forum.
in fact, the OTHER
Iodine Forum was a direct result of one of the global moderators(no longer with us that i know of) screaming and yelling for an
Iodine Forum that "allowed" low dosing and using kelp and such. we were so far beyond that by then it didnt matter. compare and contrast the two forums and see for yourself. it was stupid then and its stupid now. i finally got permission to post on there(yes, i was banned!) so that someone could at least give a decent answer to those who happened in there. others have done this as well and their service is appreciated by all.
thats the story, grizz. its counter-intuitive. it took us a while to accept it. it still scares people to say it. thats why, like dylan said, "i guess it was up to me."
