First, I want to thank you so much for all of your research and advice throughout the CZ forums. I have come to rely on your sound council and am deeply indebted to you for offering me (and many others who come to CZ) some direction in my search for improved health.

I have been studying and following your suggestions regarding AF and Candida and Immune Function. For AF I am currently taking Ashwagandha, Pantothenic Acid and Vitamin C. I feel better and wondered about something. I recently traveled via air and noticed that I did NOT have my usual 'roller coaster' nausea during a bumpy flight. I was surprised and immediatedly thought that the the things I am taking for AF might have this very welcome effect for eliminating the nausea. Could this be?
Yes. Balance is controlled by the inner ear and a pressure build up in the inner ear can cause a feeling of imbalance and nausea. Weak adrenals can lead to allergies or increased inflammation that can cause swelling in the inner ear. Add to that the pressure changes on the inner ear from flight and this can explain the nausea you had previously.
I definitely feel so much more relaxed. I have been taking these supplements for about 6 weeks. Minimal Ashwagandha (1 to 2 tablets a day and Pantothenic Acid (1 tablet a day).
Ashwagandha itself is calming by increasing GABA levels. Building up the adrenals though offers a more long term relaxation as the adrenals produce the body's anti-stress hormones. Therefore, healthy adrenals help prevent us from over reacting to stressful situations.
I have been taking 10 grams of Vitamin C (to BTL) daily for over 7 months having started this regimen before any other supplements for my various symptoms.
That is way in excess of what the body can use. And the excess just gets converted in to oxalic acid and passed out the kidneys. I don't recommend over 2 grams total daily. But people need to slowly reduce the levels when they have been megadosing since the body is accustomed to dumping all the excess vitamin C and can continue to dump large amounts of vitamin C when suddenly reduced or stopped. This can lead to a condition known as rebound scurvy.
Since I've started the Ashwagandha and Pantothenic Acid in addition, I have experienced no 'panicky feelings', no startling at the slightest noise, just an overall feeling of 'calm'. Is this what I should be expecting?
Yes, that is one thing as explained above.
How else to determine the positive effects?
More sustained energy, reduced inflammatory responses, reduced allergic responses, better blood sugar and blood pressure control, etc.
