Hi everybody, I've had Candida for a few years now. I've tried the diet before but was always undisciplined and gave up. I've started the diet again and this time I plan on going through with it because my symptoms are making it difficult to live my life( brain fog, , memory loss, trouble focusing, depression, paranoia).
I've noticed a difference this time during my diet. I don't have cravings ( which was a big problem previously) and I'm not seeing any improvements at all. I've been on the diet before so I know when it is working and when it isn't.
The biggest issue for me is that i'm not having any cravings, which is a sign that something is not right. I'm on a very strict diet. No sugar, no bread, no alcohol, no fruit, no nuts. Nothing I'm eating could be feeding it.
I'm just wondering if the candida can evolve to a point where even the diet won't work anymore, and it just feeds on blood Sugar alone?

A raw vegetable diet seems very difficult to do. What kind of vegetables are you eating raw? Outside of salads, I cook most of the vegetables I eat.- Re: Diet not working Anthony87

This is a reply to # 1,919,020I cook most of my vegetables. Brussel sprouts. Broccoli soup with chicken stock. I cook down baby spinach. I think I owe the success to the elimination of animal protein. The body needs to go after the candida and meat totally distracts it...so the minimal Sugar thats in broccoli feeds candida. I find it safe to say this after 2 years and basically red meats, nuts, and apple sauce did the same thing. Gave candida exactly what it wanted. It pretty much takes near starvation to kick candida.- Re: Diet not working Anthony87

This is a reply to # 1,919,035I have been taking Candex to help kill the candida. I did some more research and some people are saying that Candex helps feed candida so i'm going to stop taking it.
It makes sense because I haven't been eating anything else that could feed it.

This is a reply to # 1,918,841Do you eat carrots? I had a yeast reaction every time when I had them. There's also the possibility that you've become unknowingly intolerant of something which is usually OK. Perhaps if you could give us a more detailed run down on what you eat in a typical day or week, we could suggest things which may be undermining your diet.
On a side note, I would just like to point out that I felt much, much better when I followed a anti-yeast diet which included a lot of meat. I still feel better while on this diet.
My only problem was the fact that I could feel better on the diet, but I couldn't break it without feeling horrible again. Chelating heavy metals from my body is what has helped me most.

The high meat diet did similar results for me. It made it so everything was a candida feeder. This is bad because it is expensive to eat meat all the time and can lead to gout. And there is not proper absorption. We all know that candida crowds out the beneficial bacteria, or is a result of not enough of it. I really think fast results for me happened because of the elimination of lots of animal protein and the avoidance of fat. The real problem is Disbiosis and I feel that avoiding carbs and Sugar is just a shallow way of maybe keeping the candida at bay on a daily basis...even though for me it seemed to root and flourish. Because I had all vegetables yesterday I could have a bunch of redskins. I know if I had a lot of meat, the potatoes would ferment and there'd be an outbreak.
