Greetings,
This is my first post here. I finally decided to join after months of reading all the wonderful information everyone has to offer.
Today I am writing to get some information about acne. I never had it in high school or college, but once I got into my mid 20s, my skin turned to crap. I have done several Schulze and Clark cleanses, and while I felt fantastic afterward, my skin didn't improve that much. I am very healthy, thin (5'7", 115 pounds) eat raw vegan, intense exercise one hour per day and drink lots of water.
I am, however, recovering from adrenal exhaustion, slight insulin resistance (probably due to adrenals), and according to my doctor, I don't have PCOS, but I do show some hormonal makeup of it (whatever that means). I was also anorexic as a teenager (not anymore), and I am no longer on BCP (my skin improved after I stopped taking them).
I don't get cystic acne, it's just the tiny, hard, dry pimples, uninflamed, mostly under my skin. My skin is sensitive, dry and itchy. I've gone through several kinds of products and makeup, thinking it may be related to the ingredients. I'm just at a total loss. I've done almost everything that I know to do to heal myself and I'm running out of ideas.
I do realize that my problem isn't just one issue, I'm sure it's a combination of several internal things.
Thanks so much for your help!
