Hi All,
I have just started the 11th day of my soft dry fast, which means that I have had no food and water but bathed, showered and washed my hands according to my needs.
Because I am an experienced soft dry faster, I am not able to report anything really unusual that might have happened to me during this period of time.
I have been really happy that since the 5th or 6th day I have noticed some very, very mild postnasal drip; I have had a chronic sinusitis that is why healing my sinuses has the utmost importance to me. The drip has been so subtle that it has not required using the facial tissues.
I have not observed any changes in my eye pterygium; I guess it will need the additional long fasts in the future if Eybright Formula Tincture (Christopher and Schulze) I plan to use after the present fast fail.
My energy level has been quite high; However, I have recently stopped jumping my rope because my legs refused to cooperate - I think I must have become little weaker than I had realized.
This fast has not brought any strong feeling of fever or even fire in my body so I have not had to shower repeatedly in the cold water to endure it; However, my body must have been little warmer than usually since my husband, who always complains about cold, has been using me in bed as his personal thermal bottle - He declared that I am much convenient than a rubber sack from a Drug Store because of my size and the ability to warm him all night long.
I sun bath and dry brush every day, passively lie down seldom because I do not feel I need it.
I do all my chore at home as usually; I am a staying-at-home individual so I use gardening, lawn mowing, hunting for weeds and picking them up, watering plants and driveway cleaning, swarming ants removing and, finally, preparing camp equipment for the approaching in two weeks 40-day canoe trip (with the base on the isolated island in Quebec, Canada) as the every-day equivalent of lymph-pumping walks that are necessary during fasting.
I still find time and energy to play with a medicinal ball in the morning and evening to accompany my husband who without my presence would happily stopped exercising to sleep longer and watch play-offs.
I do not faint or feel unsteady even after I suddenly stand up. I control my vitals every morning and they were as follows:
- BP (at the beginning 110/60 dropped to 90/50),
- HR (regular, 70 beats/min at he beginning, dropped to 50-52 beats /min and is still regular).
I have already lost 12 pounds. I have started my present fast with a lean body that is why I have not had much too loose; I still look decently and my appearance does not scare people. My skin is dry but tight, my belly is more than flat and my breasts have not disappeared yet.
I have had no paresthesia, muscle cramps, muscle twitching, any pain, nausea or hunger. My mouth and lips have been moist because I have had plenty of saliva. However, yesterday I felt a mild thirst that I neglected so it vanished. Today, again, I feel a trace of a thirst.
My sleep has almost disappeared so I spend plenty of time on contemplating, planning, rearranging my life in the comfort of my bedroom at night. I feel that I do not require much sleep because I am rested and relaxed in the morning. Fortunately, I have not yet started to feel the irritation, the anger that forced me during my last long dry fast to bite my husband's or daughter's head off.
My tongue gave me some hope that maybe I have approached the beginning of the final detoxification period. I have noticed that a pink color has appeared at the tip of my tongue; Usually, my tongue was mildly coated and white between the fasts and heavily, thickly coated and very white during the fasts.
I plan to fast for 14 days and I am convinced that I will do it unless some unexpected event happen. It is my dream to have my health back so I could return to my regular diet and fast only shortly as a preventive measure. I am not a fanatic of a dry fast; I just use it as a tool of my well - being.
Love,
Anne
