Greetings,
Relaxing is something of a problem for me. The day of the flush I usually find rather enjoyable, but come 9:45pm I begin to worry. The fact is, I have vomited so many times that I almost expect to do so! This is far from ideal…
With previous flushes I have added ginger root to the mix and vomited, and with last night’s flush I drank ginger tea between Epsom Salts drinks. I believe ginger may alleviate mild nausea, but against projectile vomiting is it utterly useless.
Your “gut feeling” is exactly what I needed to read, so thank you very much for being so kind as to encourage a jaded young man. I tried the lemon juice and olive oil “mini-flush” some months ago, and had some mild success (increased well-being but no stones to speak of); I may try an alternate flush come New Moon, involving small amounts of lemon juice and olive oil… I may try this tomorrow morning as perhaps my liver could do with a little “shunt”…
Thanks again, your words are much appreciated!
You are correct of course, as there is no such thing as a failed flush. There is, however, such a thing as a pathetic and miserable flush, and I seem to have experienced five or perhaps more of these unwelcome guests!
To answer your question: I am unsure of how many flushes I have completed. I do know that all but two have resulted in physical sickness, and considering my post-flush state of overly-emotional confusion I am now seeking solutions to my many flush-based problems.
Rather foolishly I did continue to drink the potion even after I had a “gag” sensation about half-way through the mix. I usually drink it down in a matter of seconds, but after reading through many other posts I decided to relax a little…needless to say this did not work!
I am hoping that this multitude of suffering is for very good reason and that sometime soon I shall reap the rewards of persistence…
Thank you very much for responding, Tiffany.
I have an aversion to olive oil, but most importantly to grapefruit. As I juice the grapefruit I am usually repulsed by its stench, and the morning-after “grapefruit burps” cause me much dismay. I may try lemon juice in future, as it is surely foolish to continue as I have done when all is so miserable. (I thought my body would adapt to it, but apparently not...)
I feel as if the “potion” simply stagnates in my gut, as I never feel stones moving and only experience mild gurgling in my abdominal region. Then, for my body to reject the potion in such a violent manner, one can only surmise that it is treating it like a poison in my system. Perhaps less olive oil is the answer (or no cursed grapefruit juice). Strangely enough, I have been experiencing an intense craving for black olives for the past two hours!
Thank you, Håkon.
I am always watching... :)
Do you happen to have read Moon Time? It is a book I have been keen to read for many months now but still it lies beneath a pile of other "must read" books.
Oh, and feeling like a witch (one who knows) is no bad thing!
