I can't remember what dose I tried for Ashwaganda. It's been a few years.
I tried tea, tincture, but can't remember how much.
You are right that even Vitamin C or Pantathine can be stimulating. But he warned me that Vitamin C can be stimulating and we backed off when it increased my anxiety. I even stopped Liposomal C for 6 months until I was ready again.
Regarding his theory that herbs can be stimulating in advanced cases, that is what happened to me with licorice....it made me worse. He is the one who explained what was going on and told me to stop taking it.
I have to trust his experience. I've only treated one patient...me. And you have only treated one patient as well:)
Lam is not perfect, but he must have treated hundreds with AF, probably a few thousand by now.
Presumably, he noticed what happens many people using herbs with advanced cases.
That being said, one of things that annoys about Dr Lams articles is that, although they are jam packed with good information, there is always a little dig that it is dangerous for you to go it alone....and therefore it is implied you should call his office.
I actually avoided calling his office for a long time because that tactic was annoying to me.
However, after exhausting many other things, I gave him a try, and even though he is not perfect, I feel 200% better than when I started working with him.
