Why, what a coincidence - it so happens that I made a post in my private forum today which got an RRR rating. But I didn't give it to myself, the same as I do not give most of the ratings I get on my private forum. Most often, when I do give ratings to myself on my private forum it is to lower ratings that I thought were overly-generous.
Some forum owners and some mods are more generous than others. Some seem to give almost no ratings at all these days. On the other hand, some forums simply have better quality and more important posts (The Iodine Supplementation forum for example) the same as some posters may post more important information or better quality original articles and messages. Myself, I am a writer by profession and pretty highly regarded at the venues I write for - thus one might expect my articles to be well written and researched.
Private forum owners as well as local forum moderators, global moderators and the WM can give ratings as they see fit. However, only the WM or a global mod can give out an RN or a BSA rating, whereas local moderators and private forum moderators can only recommend RN or BSA ratings.
Would you care to see how many BSA and RN ratings I have been given? Keep in mind that I did not give a single one to myself - every one had to come from a global mod or else the WM:

As regards giving ratings to friends who agree with them, I will note that I have given several good ratings out to Hv in both my private forum and in the cancer support forum where I am the local mod. I guess that must make the two of us friends who agree with one another.
Actually, i base it on quality. Sometimes things that I think deserve a BSA he downgrades to an R. But I still think it's BSA material.

Now you are just too sweet. Thank you. BSA is the Best of Curezone. RN is recomended for the Curezone Newsletter.
Well...... Since I can give these ratings out, I assume that all other mods can too.
My Best,
Luella
Well, you know what? You brought something to my attention. Something that I had not paid attention to. I just looked it up. The BSA without the squiggly line is the Bright Star Award - Best of Curezone. And....... the BSA with the squiggly line in front of it is the Bright Star Award - Highest Recommendation.
So......... Maybe that means I should start using the one with the squiggly line?
My Best,
Luella
