Wow, Donna!
My girlfriend's mom came often to my house for Sunday dinner. And, I thought, in those days, that a nice dinner included a salad of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and green onions.
She didn't say anything to me, but she would go home and be sick as a dog.
Naive, I thought that many preferences were picked up in childhood, and the sufferer just wasn't trying.
Eventually her daughter told me how her mother was reacting, and didn't want to offend me. I felt so bad.
Now your testimonial explains what was really going on.
I am so glad for your friend. Thank you for telling us.
Happy 2011!
