hi sky, I'm sorry to hear you have this. I have two strains of aspergillus + candida.  first off it is coming from where you live or work. I rented a house all last year and part of 2010 and got sicker and sicker, thought it was just  the candida spreading to my lungs and sinuses and inner ears but it wasn't. I never saw too much mold in the house , except in the bathroom and a few spots here and there. but did kind of have a weird odor. I am convinced it came from my air condidtioning/heating  system. The first time I used it I felt soooo strange in the head, then I kept stupidly using it cause I never in my life worried about mold and started coughing and developing asthma and so on. I got the HELL out of there when my test results came back.

you mentioned you had mold in your other place,did your symptoms start at that house or this new place? The antifungals your on do NOTHING to kill aspergillus. I would call and bump your appt up immeditally. to start on itra. I was put on it 400mg a day for 5 months i got 30% better but platoued. I have started Vfend for almost a month now but its not working at all actually my symptoms are worse, ears are way worse loosing hearing and being replaced with high pitched frequency noises and so much pain in them and above the eyes. have an appt coming up Don't know what my next move is. doctors don't want to help. don't know weither to do one more month vfend and see what it does or go back on itra or do caspofungin or animophcin B. (sorry for all my spelling errors dont have time to look up the words).

what kind of doctor are you seeing? where do you live? I'm not familiar on any of the other strains you have just the aspergillus. Is it in your sinuses or just the lungs? My lungs have seemed to clear out real well of it, but no change in sinuses, inner ears, throat, and esphogus and brain area.

don't be afraid of using the natural with the prescriptions I do all the time. I tried all natural stuff  orally and up my nose to rid the aspergillus nothing works. the only thing you cant take with vfend is grapefruit juice and st. johns wort. I have felt no interactions from natural stuff I take. grapefruit seed extract I think is fine its not grapefruit juice.

the only think clinically proven to kill aspergillus naturally is theives oil. (its the combo of eucalyptus, rosemary, cinnamon, clove and lemon grass). I breath it in and add some to massage oil and put all over my neck, outter ears, sinuses and swollen glands. a lady named cora on here has given me a lot of good natural ideas they help a little with the daily pain but do not cure it. at least it helps get me through each day.
