It's interesting how my body chooses foods after my water fast.
Chia gel. Before my fast, I didn't feel any taste of it. Today, it appears to have a very distinctive mild and very pleasant taste. I made chia gel and ate a few tea-spoons this morning. Oh boy, it was delicious. Drunk water after that and played tennis with much better result than yesterday.
After tennis, I scanned refrigerator and my body demanded capers. I spiced a small amount of chia gel with capers and fresh greens (basil and coriander). That was so awesome, I couldn't believe that capers could taste so good. Researched on-line and discovered that they are super-food, with very high amount of antioxidants and flavonoids, great for heart health, digestion, and cancer prevention. And the best thing - for my bifudus overgrowth - they are antibacterial and reduce flatulence. Wow! How did my body know all that stuff?
Looked up filberts/hazelnuts. My body demanded them for some reason after my fast break. They appeared to be super-foods too! And some web site claims that they have B12 in them. And I was diagnosed B12 deficient. Gee, my body baby, you are smart!
Next thing I ate was a soft-boiled egg. Not raw, not hard-boiled, because my body screamed for soft-boiled. I totally enjoyed that treat, eating it slowly, with a small amount of hot organic paprika sauce. The best egg in my life! Did some research, and what you think - whites in eggs are best digested when they are cooked (raw whites interfere with B12 absorption), and yolks are the most nutritious when they are raw. Body baby, you are growing up into a vise health guru for me!
Now, it's tea-time. I will get some tea with lemon and some small amount of organic blue cheese, which is a great source of vitamin K. Maybe I'll defrost one of my mini-muffins made out of organic coconut flour. The muffins are so good, I lose weight when I eat them.
Amounts of food that I eat (savor would be a better word to use, even drink, since I naturally liquefy them in my mouth before swallowing) are very tiny. But the joy I derive out of them is incredible.
