The first long fast I did of 19 days, I needed to sleep all of the time which was great for me, being an insomniac. It also made the time pass really quick and since I didn't need to work or anything, I just went with the flow. I did have days though, where I seemed to have a burst of energy, but they were sporadic. I felt really great after that fast.
My second long fast, I didn't need to sleep as much, mostly just needed more rest. Some activity can be good, as long as your body feels OK with it, but I believe in trying to go with what your body needs and it may need more sleep to carry out it's healing.
I would not try to do a
Water Fast with sporadic sips of juice, as you will just be messing with the process and it will awaken your hunger. You could also transition into
juicing which will continue the detox, but at a slower rate.
Also you might want to ask about this on fastingconnection.com and look at the "Five Step Elimination Cycle" in the FAQs as it has helped me in my current fasting.
Good luck on your fast!
