I love drinking water and milk kefir all the time. I've been drinking it all day even with meals and now my stomach is as big and hard as a basketball. I was hoping I would be able to drink water kefir like soda with meals. Is that possible?
Could it be from candida in my gut?

I have gallons of the stuff, and I like it. I would like to experiment and only drink kefir to see what happens.
It would be a huge waste of sugar and milk if I only drank 6 oz a day.
But, you're probably right. I need to back off for a while.
When I leave water kefir for more than a week it turns bitter/sour and is undrinkable. Same with kombucha, if left for a month it was more like vinegar, the scobys turned brown and the whole mess smelled bad. I ended up throwing it all away. I had no luck with kombucha.
My milk kefir is beautiful made with powdered milk, but it too needs to be changed after a few days sitting out, to a week in the frig. If it could sit for a month without going bad, it would be a lot easier.
I wish I had kombucha instead of milk kefir, but that's just the way it worked out here for me. Maybe it's the climate?

Could it be from candida in my gut? If the swelling of the stomach is from gas then it would be from the fermentation of the sugars still in the kefir when you drink it.
