Yes I do experience the physical weakness and it SUCKS. I wish I can exercise or do something at least but I know I can't because I don't want to over do it. Even while doing light housework I get this rapid heartbeat and heavy feeling in my chest...
Hi 117496 :),
In a resting fast, the weakness is no joke and even light housework (or standing and walking to the bathroom) can be a real difficulty. To the extent that it is possible, it is ideal to rest as much as you can.
... I am going to go out later and purchase some Ketostix.
Let me save you the trouble. You are in ketosis :).
A few more questions if I may:
How much water am I supposed to be drinking.
Drinking only to thirst is the key. Every sip you take should be a delight to your soul :). If you are forcing it down and it is unpleasant, you are not thirsty.
Also, I have read that some people drink some carbonated water to calm down the hunger pangs and the growls. Now THAT I have A LOT of. Is that allowed or do I just stick to just plain water throughout the entire fast?
Distilled unmineralized, uncarbonated water is the way to go and for many good reasons.
Another question I have, and I'm sorry to ask this, but how often am I supposed to BM?
As often as your body wants. It might be several times over 30 days and it might be zero.
Will I be able to go on my own?
You might and you might not, but either way is perfectly fine and your body has it under control. In my most recent fast, i went 36.5 days without a single movement.
Thank you SO very much for taking the time and helping me. God bless.
A pleasure. God bless you too :).
I went to see a movie and it was SO funny I laughed so hard and that headache returned lol...
That reminds me of an experience i had in my recent fast. I tried to watch a certain comedy show on 3 separate occasions but i was too weak to laugh that hard and each time i had to change the channel :). It was called "Hal Sparks, Charmageddon".
This is the first time during my fast that I get a headache. I hope that wasn't a bad sign?
Headache is a very common fasting symptom and i wouldn't be the least bit concerned about it.
Hi Mighty Sun Tzu!! You made me feel better with your responses you cleared up a lot for me and thank you so very much.
You are so very welcome 117496 :).
