Jorge, I think you are unfairly biased against the non-Rx antifungals. Some people on CureZone have achieved remission, if not a cure, using things like GSE. Even you report significant improvement on Threelac.
I am far from convinced that Rx is always better than alternative antimicrobials. Many people taking Rx antifungals have not been cured, even when following a good Rx protocol. There are nightmare stories from those who have chosen the Diflucan path.
One advantage some of these 'natural' antimicrobials have is that they kill bacteria too. I think many people here have an overgrowth of bad bacteria (e.g. Streptococci) in their small intestines which are contributing to their symptoms. Antimicrobials such as
Grapefruit-Seed-Extract probably kill off a lot of these bad bacteria as well as Candida, so potentially the patient can achieve better symptom relief than simply taking an Rx antifungal.
If you believe in biofilms, and I know you do Jorge, then surely taking a strong antimicrobial like
Grapefruit-Seed-Extract has a better chance of breaking up a biofilm by killing both bacteria and fungus.
Now I'm not knocking Rx treatment of Candida. In fact this is the path I am on right now, but I'm not going to knock all non-Rx treatments either. At the end of the day, we are all different, and will respond to different treatments differently. Just because you haven't been cured by non-Rx doesn't mean someone else won't be.
