Yeah, it was more of a rhetorical
question(s) we each need to ask
ourselves instead of merely trusting
CNN or other mainstream news outlets
to ferret out for us.
You know I feel for you. Having family
and friends in Florida and all along
the Gulf, I am more in shock and can
only absorb so much of the bad news
at a time. I find I am sleeping more
and am working hard to cope with the
stress by taking more vitamins and
limiting my news intake. The nagging
suspicion that "we" are considered
the enemy and as worthy of protection
as the sea turtles and other marine
life who are caught up in the booms
and being burned to death by BP
personnel. I am angry and so far no
one has been successful in championing
the needs of the American people to
know what is happening during this
disaster. By this time, after more
than 2 months, there should be precise
measurements of the amount of oil and
the VOCs etc. coming from the seafloor.
The biggest effort we are aware of is
the one that keeps us in the dark as
much as possible. This makes me suspicious
and of the opinion BP does not deserve
our trust, and the BO administration
does not deserve our trust either because
they are not supporting the governing
officials of the Gulf States, instead,
giving BP the sovereignty and rights
over the Gulf.
Time will tell how this plays out. I
do PRAY, as that is about the extent
of the response the BO administration
is tolerating from the American public,
that things get better before they get
worse. In the back of my mind also are
all the problems associated with the
potential for evacuating the Gulf
and if Hurricanes bring oil and gases
ashore, even where I live. I pray you
stay safe and that your health is
protected~~
blessings,
Zoe
