I am paranoid that I have pinworms. I don't know how they look, so I dont know what I have seen is it or not. I have itchy crawling sensation mostly at night in my rear area and I twitch. I was diagnose with restless leg syndrome and I might possiblily have MS-awaiting diagnose from doctor for this. I saw something today that was thin and yellow looking. I also have seeen somehthing that was white looking. But I have never caught anything moving. This is a reply to # 1,607,994When you feel that itch, get on some latex free plastic gloves and reach into the rectum until you feel something that seems like a worm and pull it out. They are about half an inch long, white, wiggly if alive, and pointed on one end, hence the name I suppose. I'm sure the net has pictures too.
Try not to panic about the M.S. thing. I was told that too, but it turned out to be thyroid & adrenals which the tests for them were inaccurate about initially. Don't count on the doctors to necessarily understand that symptoms can be far more important than lab tests for parasites & thyroid & adrenal.

I have a similar experience as you but not nearly as sever.
How are you doing now?
I was trying to find a link to pin worms photos but can't find it right now for you but from this photo they are tiny and I've read that they are 1/4 to 1/2 inch long and can be confused with a tiny cotton fibers.
I have symptoms of pin worms but have not been able to see one alive. It's mind warping when these things are driving you crazy and you can't see evidence of the d**n things and people don't believe you. Awful!

This is a reply to # 1,608,403It seems that there are a number of us that have all the signs of pin worms but are unable to see living worms. Were you involved when my pin worm saga got thrown into the debate forum?
I have seen dead worms when I used the zapper (which just help to scatter them) and saw some on stool but only before I started using psyllium and DE when my turds were hard. Then when I got desperate for some relief and stuffed a zinc tab up my butt (it hurt like hell after a few times). There were hundreds of tiny white worms after the first time but I have yet to see one single living worm.
As others have posted, there is only one thing that feels like a pin crawling out your butt, as far as I know. It's a very distinct sensation that cannot be easily confused with anything else.
I've seen a lot of posts where people say they are easy to see but that has not been the case for me. I wonder if it's possible that they have mutated and are not the same old reliable pin worms that they used to be.
If it feels like a pin worm (as it crawls out yer butt and other privates) and it itches like a pin worm, it probably IS a pin worm.
No one yet has been able to tell me what else mine might be. All the months researching these things and I still can't come up with one other parasite that crawls out your butt and then back in. If anyone knows of something else, please tell me!

This is a reply to # 1,608,520Unfortunately there are things that are not making much sense these days. If they are worms, they will move, especially if there are large numbers of them. Don't discard the possibility of fungus. There are some that grow very fast.
One of you guys will have to send me a sample to examine.
The "morgellons" phenomenon is a good example of mysterious stuff going on.

This is a reply to # 1,609,090Thanks to everyone that responded to my post.I have been dealing with these symptoms for about 8 months now. Because I don't want to contaminate my spouse. This has even ruin my sex life for fear of pinworm eggs getting into the environment. I am going to check to see how much it cost to send my "tape test" to a lab. I have already gone the doctor route and they laugh when I suggested pinworms. One nurse ask me "if have been eating dirt", I said NO and she stated well that is the only way you get pinworms. She further stated,"Just go by some preparaton h and laugh at me some more. I also have a small child at home. Im scared for him. I hope he dosnt have it, but the doesnt sleep well at night.. Like I said I have seen a few things but I wasnt sure what I was looking at. Anyhow I hope that I can return back to normal some day. - Re: Shroom.... sanjean

This is a reply to # 1,609,090I've seen dead worms but I just can't get a live one. When I felt one this afternoon, I did as LoricaLady suggested and got a partial, at least. These things are tiny! but they feel like they are HUGE! as they crawl out all my lower orifices, crawl around and then back in. It's really quite disturbing to say the least!
I don't know if others have become allergic to these things but I really think that I've had them a very long time, if not all my life but was not aware of them because I was not allergic to them.
When I started zapping mid Dec is when I first became aware of them. I took parasite cleanse and that along with zapping scattered them all over my body and that is when I became allergic to them. I had them in my saliva glands and nose and felt thumps and bumps all over my body. Since then the scattering symptoms have gone but they are very much alive and well and living in my.....
I took Mebendazole for 12 days twice a day, one or 2 weekss off then another 7 days on with no reaction what so ever!
All the creams that I've tried have not stopped them from coming out to lay eggs. The only thing that at least curtails some of them is the diaper rash cream, used as poly filla to plug up the holes, all except the urethra. It doesn't stop them there.
The things I've tried so far to discourage them .....
petroleum jelly with lavender oil,
Sulfur8
Vick's vapo rub
diaper rash cream,
anti-histamine cream, helps with the reaction
cortisone cream
AZO, I started last night, no change so far
there are more but you get the drift....
They've kept me up all night for the last week and I'm getting really tired and stressed. I tried to lay down this afternoon but within a minute of laying down, they come out to play until after or close to dawn.
Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated Shroom. These things are ruining a perfectly good (no great!) life! I'll do anything I can to help but I'm back on the road in a couple of days and won't have internet access often for a couple months.
It would be good if some of the others that are suffering from this would add their stories, maybe we can figure out what we have and finally get rid of it.

There definitely are worms of some kind tho. I've seen lots of dead ones and there is no other feeling like a tiny worm crawling out your butt and other more delicate areas, then crawl back in. Really disgusting!
Since researching parasite in the last few months, I realize that I am an old bug bag! and most likely have had bugs all my life but unaware of them. I've seen 4 inch worms casings and something that looked like a fluke. Then there is some kind of very yucky slimy stuff/thing that smelled like very rotten fish and since spitting out phlegm instead of swallowing it, I've seen 3 or 4 different types that I've coughed up from my lungs. Every morning that I have really checked my phlegm, I have seen possible critters. Gross to think that I used to swallow those things all those years! Photos are here

This is a reply to # 1,609,608Finally! I'm not crazy after all! i just found it on my toilet paper. It's so small I can barely see it but I thought I'd check it out with my 14x magnifier and realized that at last I've found one!
In all my searching, I have never seen anything like this!
It's MAYBE 1/8 inch long, off white sort of yellowish. It has a slightly rounded head and it looks like it has sort of protrusions on each side in the middle of the body. The most unusual thing tho is that it has what would appear to be a pincher on the posterior end!
Too bad I haven't gotten a microscope yet!

Pinworms are tiny white or ivory-colored thread-like worms, measuring 1/4-1/2" long.
Females crawl out of the anus at night, lay their microscopic eggs in the perianal area, & then die. This activity can cause intense itching & irritation from scratching.
This highly contagious parasite is acquired by contaminated food, bedding, underwear, clothing, water, house dust, & human contact.
Each female lays over 15,000 eggs that are infective immediately or within a few hours. The microscopic eggs become airborne & float everywhere.
Sometimes the adults appear as tiny pieces of thread in the first morning stool, clinging to toilet paper, undergarments, or the perianal area.
If one person in a household has pinworms, it's common to find others infected as well.
Even without symptoms, all household members should be treated (their treatment is for a shorter period; see protocol below for details).
Drug guides usually show low-dose, one-shot, or short-term plans. But studies show high failure & reinfection rates with those methods.
Also, forum members frequently complain about high failure rates w/those methods.

I tried it 8 months ago and it didnt work.I also have tried several rounds of Vermox to no avail. I know that wiggly little feeling and itching sensation is not just in my head or soley caused by restless leg syndrome.

You didn't state the dosage or number of days you took Mebendazole (Vermox) for your pinworm symptoms.
Most doctors simply look up the condition in a drug guide & write a Rx for just a few pills to be taken a couple of times.
You've probably noticed that other forum members complain that small doses for short periods never cure pinworms!
If your OTC Reese's Pin-X remedy is a flop, you might want to try the Vermox protocol: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1564827#i.
If retreatment fails, then you might have a drug-resistaint strain.

The down side is you have to deal with the embarassment of going to the doctor and with them thinking you are unclean. I am anally clean "no pun" intended and I still think I got these things.
