Hi, PL!
I remember dreading winters for many years. Was a very sad thing in my case, as I had formerly been very active in winter sports such as downhill and cross-country skiing.
Had some mild candida issues, and replaced all my
Amalgam fillings. Did not get better...got WORSE!!!! See this post:

Also, was doing the Clark cleanses regularly from this time onward until a few years ago. At this point, I believe that they robbed me of my alkaline mineral reserves and made things worse. See this post:

As my health declined, I got more and more cold-sensitive, too. this was NOT just a subjective sensation. My body temperature was far below normal for almost 20 years, too. It was often around 95 something instead of a normal minimum of 97.8 F when I woke in the morning. Any exposure to temps below body temp would cause it to drop and stay low for hours.
Increasing fatigue and muscle pain/stiffness accompanied this. Very hot weather, over 80 F, would help but anything colder than that would make me worse. So winters in a home I can not afford to keep above 60-65 F were hellish. I spent most of several years in bed most of the time with many layers of covers and an electric blanket, also wearing sweats, gloves a warm hat, and often IFR underwear also.
Thyroid tests were normal according to most docs, but going to a goo holistic one and getting some Armour thyroid helped some.
I tried lots of supplements, both proprietary blends for thyroid and adrenals and individual ones. This was expensive and time consuming, pretty overwhelming in the condition that I was in. It was going through my available funds at an unsustainable rate and not helping very much.
I was absolutely desperate, and prayed fervently for some better health options!!!!
The first thing that really helped was the Ask Moreless forum, primarily posts from Moreless himself. He is now to be found at sicknesshope.com.
There, I learned to select the best foods available and how to use some inexpensive easily available tools to counter the effects of sub-par foods.
I learned that I had developed a very severe sodium-potassium imbalance, and how to fix it.
I learned that both of the above were major contributors to my problems.
I started improving, but would occasionally have setbacks that could not be explained by the above or by severe chemical exposures, which can produce similar symptoms.
It took a couple of years to find what seems to be the last piece of the puzzle for me: this was mold exposure. Release of mycotoxins fluctuates with weather conditions, so symptoms can follow that variable pattern. Am now in the process of solving that. Have the mental function and stamina to do so thanks to the things I learned from Moreless.
I now enjoy exercising out of doors in the cold. My body temp during sustained moderate outdoor activity is usually about 98.8 F rather than the subnormal temps I had experienced for years. The exercise stimulates me and energises me instead of exhausting me. I have NO stiffness and pain after such activity. If anything, exercise makes me feel better now, not worse.
Life is finally good again...even in the winter.
Hope all this may be of help...
May your search for abundant life and joy be richly blessed!!!!
