When I watched the video on the Norwalk juicer thats used for the Gerson juice they said they just lightly scrubbed the carrots and juiced them, no need to peel.
Can you tell us how fast the Vert works, is it as fast as it seems in the video? The thing that made it look so good to me was that you didn't have to cut up the fruits and veggies which would save loads of time.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Wings, you made a valid point I didn't think of.
Me jealous too btw lol.
So... "depends?" I suppose it may be a "depends" answer, to some. I do not peel my produce before juicing, nor do I recommend it. Nor do I recommend ingesting poisons while trying to heal.
Uny, does this mean people who are buying inorganic (sprayed with pesticide) apples with that wax stuff on there leave the peel on? That doesn't sit right with me if we are talking about 5 pounds of apples a day or more that we are juicing.
Nope - I do not think we should ingest poisons along with our produce - I think we should do this instead: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1384077#i
(by the way, "wax" is allowed on organic, I'm almost sure)
I'm totally with ya on the Iowa farm girl thing. There is NOTHING like pulling off an ear of corn right in the field, shucking it and eating it raw, or popping warm blackberries into your mouth, straight off the bushes. A little dirt may be good for you!
Everything in moderation :::grin::: dirt included (disclaimer: as long as it's HEALTHY dirt, lol)
But chemical fertilizer and pesticide from commercial growers? Or from Mexico, Central America, and Chile, where a lot of produce in Texas comes from? I want to make sure we aren't contradicting each other. We're just so careful about our herbs.
I'm glad you posted - if you thought 'otherwise' then others may have, too. Organic OR detoxify it in bentonite clay & water (adding activated charcoal would be even more thorough, but it makes another step of 'rinsing off the black' which most folks just won't do).
Can I be SURE we're adsorbing all the pesticides/chemicals with the bentonite? Not without incredibly extensive research and knowing what pesticide/herbicide was used (but I have researched bentonite to be very effective for most farm chemicals). After all these years, I can tell the difference between organic and non organic 'by taste', and when I detox non-organic produce with bentonite in water, I can no longer taste the chemicals. The vitamins/minerals in the peels are VERY important (in some produce, the vast majority of the nutrition is in the peel...so we must do our best to get rid of the poisons so we CAN juice the whole fruit/veggie.
Heal ON!

Hi Solmare... Oooo I'm jealous too! I've been wanting either the Omega 8006 or the Vert. I have a Champion & need to make sure I'll juice regularly before I can justify spending money on a new juicer. 8-(
After you've had it a while please send us reports on how easy it is to use, clean, screw the top on etc!.... By the way I read somewhere that you should be very careful putting the top on -- that it can lock sometimes if it goes on in the wrong position. Don't know how true it is, but be careful with that just in case.
ENJOY!

Thank you Solmare!.... That's interesting about the carrots. I saw that happen in one of the videos on YouTube -- carrots making him have to reverse it.
That's one thing about the champion -- carrots, beets, apples & celery just blast through it. Of course it doesn't preserve as many nutrients from what I've read. And it's not good w/ greens.
We'll be interested in updates as you use it!
