Some people jsut don't learn. I am not going to post the whole post I am responding to due to length. So I will focus on a few key points.
"Excess parathyroid hormone can be produced for a variety of reasons. In some cases, parathyroid hormone is produced without regard to the calcium levels. This is called "primary hyperparathyroidism" and is caused by enlargement of one or more of the parathyroid glands. It is a common disorder affecting about 1 in 1,000 people. The high levels of calcium and parathyroid hormone affect several body systems, including the skeletal, gastrointestinal, renal, muscular, and central nervous system."
It is the high parathyroid levels that lead to the high calcium. This is why it is called hyperparathyroidism, because the parathyroids are overactive and thus releasing TOO MUCH parathyroid hormone (PTH). PTH in turn releases calcium from the bones leading to EXCESSIVE serum calcium levels. This is why patients with hyperparathyroidism are told to AVOID calcium. But we have someone on these boards with no idea of how the body works or about real science telling people to take more calcium for all diseases including hyperparathyroidism.
"The pituitary gland is a pea-sized endocrine gland located at the base of the brain. The pituitary regulates and controls the secretion of hormones from other endocrine glands, which in turn regulate many body processes."
This is partially true. There are exceptions such as the hypothalamus, which produces thyroid releasing hormone (TRH), which in turn tells the pituitary to produce thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), which in turn tells the thyroid to produce T4..... If you studied how the body really works then you would learn these things.
"What many may not understand is that because of this Loop-feed back system, when we Fail to supply our bodys with the needed Alkaline Minerals, which include Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium etc in a Live Carbon Complex, one or the other of these Endocrine Glands may begin to become Sick and Diseased!"
There is that big "may" that leaves an opening for misinformation to be twisted to make it sound truthful. The truth is that there are a number of things that can cause endrocine disorders such as heredity, infection, trauma, shock.........
"Where the problem may arise from any Excess Alkaline Minerals may come when we Fail to supply these Alkaline Minerals in a Live Carbon form!
As I have repeatedly stated any Single Element and or Isotope form we choose to ingest may Cause problems in our body!"
There is all those "may" words again. Having to say "may" so often points to the claim not likely being true since it is never stated as fact. Stating a fact is like saying taking extra calcium with hyperparathyroidism is stupid!!! Or taking black strap molasses when you have hemochromotosis is even more stupid!!! See, those are examples of statements of fact rather than hypothetical conjecture.
Bottom line is that taking calcium hydroxide, or kelp that is also calcium rich, when one has primary hyperparathyroidism is foolish. And anyone recommending such foolishness is a quack!!!!
Symptoms of hyperparathyroidism:
http://www.parathyroid.com/parathyroid-symptoms.htm
Remember that the majority of these symptoms are caused from the serum calcium being too high. Adding more calcium is therefore ludicrous. The problem needs to be addressed so the body can regulate its calcium like it is supposed to. A person should not increase the stress on the endocrine system and organs by increasing serum calcium even further.
i can't understand his english, let alone his science.
is joseph mengele really dead - or is he actually alive and running a private forum here on curezone?
After reading his dangerous advice on black strap molasses and hemochromatosis I think you make be right!!!
ya know, over the years, i've read *tons* about CFS. the things that made the most sense to me were theories about HPA axis dysregulation. which also suggests that calcium supplementation in such circumstance is, well, foolhardy.
i was recently told i had a 'bone spur' in my neck; and bone spur = calcium build-up.
Yes, it is a calcium build up, but the reason for the build up is constant stress at that point. Usually a tendon is too tight and stresses that point, which triggers the piezoelectric effect electrodepositing the minerals at that point. In English you have a stress point due to tight tendons. Try building up your silica levels.
but i guess my real question was about the HPA axis - and how to fix. and your opinions thereof - with regards to CFS.
Alafala herb (not sprouts) , parsley and seaweeds are all good for the hypothalamus and pituitary.
For the adrenals vitamin C and pantothenic acid are the most essential. Natural sources are the best. For vitamin C I like watercress, papaya, kiwis, berries, amla, nettle leaf, acerola cherry, and rosehips. For pantothenic acid pollen (richest herbal source), nutritional yeast, seaweeds, rice bran, oat bran, watercress and nettle leaf. Adaptogenic herbs will also build up the adrenals. A few of my favorites are jiaogulan, schisandra berry, suma, ashwagandha, Siberian ginseng and licorice root.
Try to keep your stress to a minimum. This will become easier as you build up your adrenals as the adrenals produce the body's anti-stress hormones. Also stay away from stimulants like caffeine and steroids like Prednisone.
I had a bone spur on my neck a few years ago. I was out of alignment and it was obvious the body grew this to give my neck added support.
The spur went eventually when my neck was supporting my head properly.
Someone mentioned about getting rid of a bone spur on ML site recently. As if the drink had something to do with it.
So don't assume your body is not functioning properly because of a bone spur, it is more likely a gift from your body to help support you.
Spurs can form anywhere in the bone where there is stress being put on the bone tissue. The risk is that the spurs can dig in to nerves or compress blood vessels.
My new all time favorite ML quote
"If you want to understand what I am talking about you need to understand my use of words! ... ... The Dictionary does not provide accurate info as to the real meaning of all words!"
So ML is now going to rewrite the dictionary?
"So, if you want to understand what I am talking about, you had better understand my use of the words I choose to speak with!"
"Remember you have come to my house to ask questions, so if you Seek to learn Truth, then you better learn to understand the meaning of the words I choose to use!"
OK
