I am stil doing great.
as you may have read i lost all my body hair for a good 12 years
except for about 70 % of head hair.

i tried minoxodil back in early 90's to try to get it to regrow in the area above, and directly behind my ears..
it never grew there, tho did fill in the thinning spots thru out,
but the bad side thing was that it started to grow hair unnaturally along my neckline and slightly under my jaw and on sides of my face anyhow, i quit using it after about 2 months.

so what had grown in all fell out again.. and even tho my hair was long and covered up the smooth no hair spots, when the wind blew you could easily see those completely bare areas,
and also as we lose hair naturally, it kept getting thinner and thinner, but not regrowing..

i researched in the back archives of the hair loss forum here..and found several things that folks had tried that seemed to work.
there were several article s about a woman named Anita, i believe ,that was a doctor / natural health advocate.. that had helped some guy here grow hair with high doses of choline.
then several others found success of varying degress themselves.

well of course i HAD to at least try !!
i searched around and found a combo of inositol/choline
(after doing some study work that choline needs the inositol to then produce the biochemical that actually stimulates the nerves messages that help promote hair growth)

i bought the combo that i still use from www.herbaladvisor.com
after you get there, use the browser search and go by brand name
type in Source Naturals. when you get to the next page, use the alphabet index and click on I for inositol.

it will open a page with several selections/ most all of the are only inositol which you DO NOT WANT!!

look on the right hand column..., about 5 posts down apprx.,
you will see Inositol/choline
click on THAT one.
it will show a picture of a bottle of tablets 100 tabs per bottle and the mgs will read 800.
the price will be about $ 7 .79 or something like that at the reduced savings rate.
i only take one a day.. and so one bottle lasts me 3 and a half months.. pretty cheap *smile*

within about 2 months i noticed my hair was looking *dirty*
weird.. and i looke dcloser and it was new hair in the areas that had not had hair there for over a decade.!!
after about 4 months, it was a good inch long hair (about)
in the spots above and behind my ears plus.. all the thinned hair had regrwon in too. and i stopped losing as much hair per day as i had been doing.

today my hair looks totally normal again.. i can now pull it up or back if i want and it hasa completely soft wavvy natural hair above and behind my ears.. and i can comb it anyway i want and not worry about thinned parts etc.
(btw my hair is down to my waist...)
so believe me i was very happy to *save it* and no bad weird side effects...
no overgrowth of hair in abnormal spots,
and best yet too, my thinning eye brows and eyelashes have come back, plus i have regrown normal body hair to some degree on other parts of my body. tho it has remaind very thin and sparse and extrmemly light in nature. (on arms legs etc)
whereas before it was totally gone ...hairless..for a good decade. it is so sparse and thin on my legs tha t i twoudlbe silly to even think of shaving since you can t even see it and there are only like maybe 30 hairs per leg . (smile)

but the hair on my head is very full, soft and wavy and i am
so glad i decided to give it a try.

you have nothing to lose.. at that price 3 and a half months for 7 $
umm btw i will also look thru my saved stuff and see where i put my info on how to get inositol/choline naturally in diet..
that will help you understand this is NOT a hormone or anything like that... your body can and should make enough of these components on its own.
i have found that as i have detoxed and paid close attention
to some foods that help boost the natural process more/ that i now often skip a day or even a couple days of taking a tablet and i have not noticed any negative changes..
i will pst that info for you.

i really believe that getting your system clean is paramount to helping your body return to normal states.
. and also to better absorbtion and utilisation of whatever you may choose to use.

most lecithin sources used are either from red meats/livers/ high fatty fish or soy. peanuts

none of what i would dare put in my body in any shape or form.

also lecithin from these sources as an oil are almost always rancid. something like 80 %

sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and lentils

I've been taking a Ultra Hair Plus with MSM (made by Nature's Way) that has 200mg inositol and 100 mg choline. My hair has never been better. I'm a woman and my hair was thinning somewhat due to age and that's why I began to take it. However, my husband saw my good results and he's been taking it too and his hair, which was thinning on top and crown, is starting to thicken also. We thought the improvement was from the biotin. If you google biotin you'll find all sorts of information.

I live outside the US and can only get the GNC Choline/Inositol, 250mg (which totals 500mg). I wonder if 2 tabs of this is too much daily? (for total of 1000mg). I also know GNC has the worse quality vitamins but thought I would begin with this until I could obtain another. I will order from herbal advisor I suppose, unless someone knows another source?? S.
