i was recently wed to a very lovely woman who, before the wedding was an extremely passionate personality, healthy libido and charming presence.
almost immediately after the wedding she completely lost her sex drive, became very irritable and often irrational. she told me that she had been recently diagnosed with premenopause. but she only told me once. she has since denied this and refuses to even broach the subject of looking into and perhaps finding relief to this.
she exhibits many of the classic symptoms in addition to those which i alluded to above including irregular periods, periodic swelling of her breasts, fuzzy thinking. forgetfulness, bouts of depression, fits of rage on the spur of the moment for little observable reason, no seeming sense of self or the effect that she has on those around her (especially me im afraid), etc. etc.
my questions (2) are..........
1. is denial of the symptoms and unwillingness to investigate even the possibility of having premenopause something that happens often in women?
and
2. does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this from a husbands point of view?
please, i need all the help i can get. this is about to destroy our marriage.
