Wow, I can't believe it!! It's been one year Mirena free for me today!!! When I think back to what I was like a year ago, I still get emotional!!!
This thing ruined my life for over a year!!! I wouldn't go anywhere. I was losing my hair. I was depressed, crying over nothing. I had vertigo, anxiety, fatigue. I had no sex drive at all. I'm really surprised that my husband and I made it through all this.
But after 1 year, I am back to normal!!!!! I haven't had an anxiety attack in months. I don't get vertigo anymore. My husband and I have the BEST relationship now!! I have a normal life again. In fact, I'll be on a plane to NY from Florida tomorrow, and I have absolutely no problems with that!!
Now, of course, this didn't happen over night. It took month's for my body to regulate itself. But, finally, finally I am ME again!!! LOL
So to everyone who thinks getting back to normal will be overnight, it won't happen!! But "normal" is out there, and will happen!!!!

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,418,013I used to come here in the beginning and ask questions, and read other posts. In fact, I was here a lot!!! But, I started realizing that if I keep reading about it, I will keep having the side effects just because it was always on my mind.
I stopped coming here, and stopped absorbing all the negatives I went through. And I think I got better faster because I stopped obsessing over it.
I do believe that if you keep reading negative over and over, you'll never be able to start thinking positive. I stopped pointing out all the bads that were still happening to me after removal, and I started pointing out all the good that was starting to come back to me.
A lot of healing yourself is your mind and how you look at things. JMO.

you are so right... I stopped charting for that exact reason. I only write things down now if they are really unusual. I think most of us obsess on this way to much.
