Yes, I agree. It is the sanitary aspect of the toilet which was disturbing to the Chinese.
You would need to find the Wealth stars in your chart and activate the primary one.
If you can do a good sketch of your home, find out the construction date of the house and get the compass degree direction from your front door out toward the street, I could look over your stars and tell you where the good Wealth star is for this Period 8. I would also need to have you indicate the doors, windows, the lay of the land -- how your street approaches your house, trees, hydro poles, fences, etc.
Centuries ago, the Emperor used Feng Shui in defeating his enemies; when they then requested help with learning FS so that they, too, could prosper, the Emperor had his FS Master help them. But, of course, the FS Master devised a few inaccuracies when he was helping their defeated enemy. Hence, there are many variations of FS. Finding the true principles takes a lot of work!
I designed this current home using the Flying Stars and it is the best home that we have every lived in. We have the current Wealth star coming in the garden door, with a fountain there to activate that qi. It is an Earth energy that is coming in and our fireplace is located in that same section of the Great Room. Fire nourishes Earth, so you can see that the fireplace is a great asset when it is on.
With Flying Stars, we do not use crystals, mirrors, etc. We use items that you may have around your home and place them in an area where they might be of benefit in either enhancing or diminishing a star. Beauty is paramount in Feng Shui. If it looks odd, then beauty has not been attained.
