Hi folks, about 2 weeks ago I got food poisoning from some sprouts I ate that I guess were recalled shortly after. Well I've been battling this 'Listeria' ever since, trying all sorts of suggestions to get rid of it. My diet is already extremely healthy but currently I'm eating just raw fruits and cooked veggies and broths.
The only problem is when it seems like it's completely gone I'll eat something a little 'harsher' like a fermented food, honey, or even as much as a raw vegetable sometimes and I'll be back to having stomach problems again.. I'll get these uncomfortable aches that feel like gas (but there is no gas) and then go to the bathroom several times in a row. The only thing that's good about this is that it's generally not diarrhea.. BUT whenever this happens it seems like I have to start all over again and go back to eating the most easily assimilatable foods. It's also so physically draining I feel like I'm going to die..
How can I ever know if I'm better if anytime I try another food I get WORSE again??? Is it possible that I'm actually feeding the listeria bacteria everytime I eat any harsher food?
On top of adding garlic to everything I eat, kelp, BSM, ACV, etc, I'm taking oil of oregano, olive leaf, and grapefruit seed extract. But this just doesn't seem to be enough!!! As much as I HATE the idea of taking
Antibiotics it feels like this is my only option at this point..
Anyone happen to know anything about this particular type of food poisoning, and if it just simply takes a very long time to go away regardless of what your taking/eating? Any more suggestions?
