check this out...

I then ran into this today...
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/1998/05/980528065052.htm
and this...
Alzheimer's 'is brain diabetes'
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7866022.stm
where it references ADDL proteins...
Do a search for NPN and diabetes... you may have to spell out non-protein nitrogen
NPN and amyloid
NPN and plaque, arterial or otherwise...
It even can look like the link in amyloid that contributes to cancers, alzheimer's, and apparently diabetes etc. etc. is being made - finally.
So do a search for NPN and cancers as well...
Will they make the "connection"?
Stay tuned... science is really slow and mired in false dogma that is career suicide to refute in many cases.
I would like to think that it is discussions on boards like these that are giving the researchers some sense of direction... one can only hope.
The bad though... motivation for an answer is still economic and means more pharmaceuticals that can do more harm than good.
