Great Question!
You know, as protocols are written, whether its traditional or alternative, they evolve!
Everyday, new research pours in about different cancers. Alternative medicine is now sponsoring their own research, which is necessary to solidify their position in the market place.
Every day modern medicine adopts alternative adjuncts. Many medical schools have licensed M.D.'s heading up alternative medicine departments.
But what about Carrots!
High glycemic index is the only reason. We know beta carotene and vitamin A are helpful adjuncts but carrot juice on it's own will not treat late stage cancer unless it involves very high dosing of active ingredients and as an adjunct.
Since beta carotene is from natural sources and is very inexpensive, many alternative practitioners are tweaking this protocol. Asking for higher dose carotene without the sugar.
The real threat with
juicing is that people tweak any diet or recipe. My Father juiced and majority of it was carrot juice. Why? Because he loved carrot juice!
Sure, there was all the other stuff, just lots of
Sugar and lots of carrot juice.
Do, I wish he would have used more apples and pitted grapes? Yes! Although two out of his three cancers resolved.
In apples and grapes there is also
Sugar and so it seems only logical progression to stear away from any further
Sugar ie., carrots, and then supplement the active ingredients with high dose therapy. This way dosing can be taken much, much higher and sugar can be decreased.
This makes so much sense that I have jumped on this band wagon.
My association has researched
juicing as many of our clients juiced and some had no response while others felt they were doing better, feeling better, etc.
We did find some patterns in 34 different patients with various cancers.
Those that favored greener substances, those that drank juice 4x daily, those that favored apples, (appeared,) to tolerate therapies better, lose less weight, and have more energy, not to mention out-live their prognosis.
Since that research, 1999, nine patients are no longer with us that I know about. A couple have lost contact, but majority continue to survive with vigor. All, of the survivors also used other treatments in addition to juicing.
The unfortunate factor with case history evidence is that when your life is at stake, you use the kitchen sink theory and in addition to diet and juicing, you attempt combinations of therapies, which is recommended by most alternative advocates.
When a patient outlives his prognosis, learns to live with cancer, or resolves his disease, the data cannot be clear and clean. We do not know what role that adjunctive protocols also played in the treatments. My Father resolved two out of three cancers. Was it vitamin c infusions or was it his juicing, or was it both?
Personally I felt it was vitamin c infusions as he was already
juicing prior to I.V. therapy. But still, without the juicing, would have I resolved two of his cancers? I will not know for sure.
Thus, out all the survivors that juiced their survival rate was about 70%, but majority of these used one or more of the following: I.v. ascorbate, ozone/peroxide, whole aloevera, ESSIAC.
When we focused on juicing we saw a trend towards these above factors.
So, more apples and grapes,(with seeds,) parsley and less carrots. Don't forget, 4x daily! Parsley on its own is awsome stuff. (Chlorophyll, alkaline minerals, just scratches the surface for parsley.)
