They have been doing that down here in Texas forever. Black person drives through a white neighborhood, you are likely to get pulled over by officer-not-so-friendly. You see, we KNOW that blacks do all the crimes so we "identity" such black persons as likely criminals. And, since we "identify" all blacks as looking alike, woe be unto any black in the vicinity of a crime committed by another black person. For that matter woe be unto any black in the vicinity of a crime committed by a white person if there were no witnesses who got a good look.
Much recent publicity has been given to all the scores of people who have gotten out of prison due to DNA testing. Innocent people whose youth has been robbed and whose lives have been ruined - all because someone "identified" them wrongly. Guess what color almost all of them are? It's not lily white. In fact, I have yet to see one single white person amongst those released due to DNA testing who was wrongly convicted of raping a black woman (the most common offense) or otherwise committing a crime against a white person.
Our witnesses, cops and DA's are identifiers too, you see.
But yes, almost all of us are identifiers to one extent or another. It can be carried way too far and spill over into unjustified prejudice.

It makes no difference to me Jimsgirl he can be the rainbow man for all I care, I simply like Barack Obama.
No, I knew Groggo would not answer my question, he never puts himself 'on the spot' so to speak specially when he's 'baiting'.
The thing is, about 11 months ago I questioned to whether a coloured man or a woman would be a cause for concern in the USA for either to become president.
I was immediately slated for being behind the times and that the USA was well past those times, so I leapt back into my cave and ate my terradactyl before it got cold.
Well of course I know now the answer I suspected but Grog did answer, lol :-
