Good evening Stonehedge. I will be reintroducing healthy flora into my gut in the next few days. Typically what I do after a cleanse is take a probiotic, but it quite important to to make sure that when you obtain one, like a lactobacillus supplement, the date of manufacture should be very close to the date that you buy it. If you go to a larger health food store, they will have a bigger rate of turnover, so their date should be most recent. the reason for this is because ther bacteria start to produce lactic acid which when it reaches a high enough concentration will begin to suffocate them shutting down respiration in their cells. One way that I reintroduce the healthy bacteria is to drink organic kefir that has again been made very recently. If you have the time ans money, you may want to consider buying a kefir maker and use goat's milk as it is less mucilogous. Another more extreme, yet highly effective way of getting healthy bacteria into the GI tract is to do an enema with the kefir and the probiotic. Extreme, but never the less very effective. how is your diet under normal conditions? generally the more fruits, vegetables and whole grains you eat the better. Less mucous= better bacterial health. Proper food combinations= healthier bacterial conditions. I find that in my lifestyle, because I am academically oriented, I do not always have the time to combine foods properly. My naturopath states that digestive enzymes can offset the improper combination, and I usually combine all meals with at least 5-7 vegetable servings at a time. It's extreme, but I do a lot of running and body building so I need all the food groups present. Some people may differ in their opinion of food combining, but I find for me being so active this works. You will have to experiment with your self to see what works best. The nice thing about getting healthy, is that you are getting healthy and learning all about a new way of life. You get to explore new ways of eating, new types of food, new ways of digestion. So keep an open mind, experiment and feel good about yourself. you are making some wonderful changes and this only the beginning. After all, I have been cleansing for ten years and just this past week, learned all about liver flushes,
parasites and other things. If you are teachable you will only improve. Thanx for the request and god bless in your journey. Kind of exciting eh! J.
