logically if you regulate the body then EC should be cured and that is what the supplements and tonics are supposed to do. If that doesn't work, then it is an external problem(allergens etc), which i doubt.
Can we all compose a list of everything that we can use to bring the body in balance? Meaning a balanced immune system. Because adding strength to the immune system, when there is a possibility that this is an autoimmune disease, would worsen it.
This condition for the lip(pickers/dry lips) could of morphed into self-inflicted psoriasis. If this is
Psoriasis that can explain why some stuff work and stuff don't.
We have to distinguish if it's an inside or outside problem. Meaning if it's something on the inside malfunctioning or if something externally is preventing the lips from healing. There is no medical cure found for this, so you know what we are up against.
I only see about 5 active posters, knowing there is probably 50 or more members dating 5 years back.. It would be sweet if every member on here could profile how they got EC and what they were doing at the time, what diet they were on etc... so we could find a common denominator. I've had success with the cortisol theory(melatonin/progesterone), i've seen the lips halt the growth of skin, so to me.. who's had this since i was a child is a major step.
I can understand people's frustration. It's called Exfoliative Cheilitis: Inflammation of the Lips. When you take away the inflammation it should be resolved but it doesn't, that alone is frustrating.
To keep it simple, one word i can express is balance. Balance everything, our skin(ph has to be 5), our organs, immune system etc. We have to find everything that brings balance in the body.
I thought fasting could do this, but it stresses the adrenal glands to secrete more cortisol to give energy due to the lack of food.
Ginseng is a start, it is an adaptogen. Who's overdosed and what's the effect?
Has anyone had there digestive tract checked to rule out inflammation/candida?...
There's countless questions to ask. Instead of 4-5 people, how about 40-50 people, working towards the same thing? I don't even want to use a computer as much as i do but it's because i want to get rid of this.
I'm going to write a small profile below and i encourage anyone with a curezone account to post below, just to see if we can find a common link.

How i got EC: constant licking of lips as a child. They became extremely dry and cracked. Used my teeth to pick off the flaking dry skin. Eventually ripped off the skin. Bloody experience. The skin grew back, not in sync with the rest, it was crusty(is it the same type of skin?).
Improvements: Melatonin liquid on lips. Caused the skin to stop overgrowing. Developed a fragile layer of skin that stays the same, can be peeled and damaged easily. Same effect with progesterone cream on lips. Vitamin C cream, made some areas normal. E45 cream, the urea made some areas normal.
Peeling Cycle: Decides when to peel. Lips get damaged from mouth breathing or eating. Lips easy to peel, no blood, no pain.
Other health symptoms: White tongue, allergy(itchy throat, nose, ears due to histamine), dandruff, adrenal fatigue(cured with DHEA), itchy dry skin after hot showers.
Mental behaviour: Self conscious leading to paranoia.
Lip treatments tried: Hydrocortisone and other corticoisteroid creams, Dermatone(i think thats the name), Ginseng, Zinc, Evening Primrose Oil, Emu Oil, Castor Oil, Vegetable Oil, Polyphosphaaa... p stuff, melatonin liquid, progesterone,
Colloidal Silver , calendula cream, carmex, vaseline, leaving the skin on,
Sea Salt water, wallnut tincture, vitamin C liquid, vitamin A liquid, collagen capsules, amino acid capsules, B complex, Dr Dan's cortibalm, E45 itch relief cream, Candida Diet, Liver Flush,
