Powder:
Start with 1/8 teaspoon or less of the "top hot" powder blend, mix it with "one gulp's worth" of water, slug it down like a shot of tequila...and have a big 'water chaser' at the ready. (The more fluid you mix it with, the more it will get 'all over your mouth', so mix the cayenne with the least amount of fluid you can to 'get it down') THEN add the "more water" to dilute it (if you need/want to).
--Never EVER take therapeutic cayenne (over 100,000 HU) in capsules. It won't actually cause harm, but the capsule melting and releasing all the cayenne in one place in your stomach --without your stomach having any warning that it's even coming-- will make you FEEL like it's caused a LOT of harm!
Work up to the therapeutic dose you desire. Schulze had folks doing the IP using a teaspoon several times daily (one guy even took tablespoons). Your body WILL acclimate faster than you can imagine IF you're consistent. I just read Dr. Christopher saying that even if you stop for a few days, you'll have to rebuild your tolerance from the beginning (and we've found that to be very true)
The tinctures are EASY (the 'tincture burn' is VERY short lived) - do the same thing. Put "the dose" into a glass, splash in a 'gulp's worth' of water/juice and slam it...with more water 'at the ready'. The burn lasts SO much 'less long' with the tincture and it'll be almost totally gone in less than a minute. And because the tincture goes directly into your bloodstream through the lining of your stomach, you'll never have 'butt burn' with the tincture.
Speaking of which, BECAUSE the tincture goes through the lining of your stomach, the tincture is not very effective for
parasites in the intestinal tract (because the cayenne never gets any lower than your stomach).
Also, with the tincture...don't torture yourself with 'working up' to two full droppersful. It's 'liquid fire' and it really doesn't matter whether you take 5 drops or 50 drops, the burn IS "the burn". I've seen SO many people try to "start low" and "work up", and they never get there. Just put two full squirts in the glass (with a 'gulps worth' or water or juice), slam it, guzzle some water, do the 'cayenne dance' for a few seconds, realize how 'alive' you actually are (lol) and the whole thing'll be a memory in less than a minute or two.
And THEN....AAAAAAHHHH.... just sit back, breathe deeply and focus on the "opening up" and circulation/oxygen as it courses it way throughout your body. My hubby can still feel it 'work it's way down' to his fingers & legs (I stopped feeling it that intensely after a few days). Look at your eyes in the mirror and see how much brighter they've become and feel the warmth and relaxation seep through your body.
