Get it out. If you are already having mood swings, it only gets worse. Be careful around your child. Mirena made me a person I hated. I ended up in the ER the day I went to punch my three year old, I wanted to die that day. Mirena messed up my mind. Since removal I no longer have mood swings and hardly ever raise my voice to my children. Good luck!

I was also told to wait until my period to get the Mirena placed because your cervix is softer and easier to penetrate during your period. Insertion didn't hurt at all for me.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I started reading everyone's posts and how I have also been experiencing all of those symptoms. It is scary that our health care system would promote a product that has such a horrible effect on people's bodies. Clinical trials did not tell the true story about Mirena and I am going to do my best to speak out to my doctors.
