"Bob, a lady in a healthstore that I frequent has advised me to use glutamine to help heal things inside. do you agree with that?"
Yes, but and really its BUT you need to use the powder form as the capsules will not open quickly enough to adequately help the gut. It'll open further down in the small intestine. And guess what? L-glutamine tastes bad! You can get high quality powder from the Life Extension Foundation www.Lef.Org They also carry a nice peppermint supplement that is designed to open in the intestines just in case you have issues there too (ever been scoped to verify ibs?).
Metamucil was great for me. Got me off of Bentyl (which also worked nice but I wanted off Rxs as quickly as possible). 1 tablespoon at night with water. Make sure you are getting tons of water 64-128
oz per day. That also helps with IF2 to avoid some binding.
"Lastly, again, is IF2 good enough as a healing agent on its own? Will it function to wipe out
parasites etc like IF1 is purported to do?"
IF2 is a great soother and will pull out debris and poisons, but will probably not wipe out
parasites like IF1. You might want to look at Christophers LB formula - it has the nice healing ingredients that IF1 has, but is much much milder. (You can click the picture below)
I'd stick with what you are doing, perhaps adding l-glutamine, pure aloe vera juice, peppermint, and apple cider vinegar 10 min before meals. All, some, whatever you feel comfortable with. I've stayed on ACV and no longer require the others, though I still do the IF2 for a week seasonally and throw down an IF1 almost daily (just feels good!)
"Are you a doctor, have you studied medicine? If not, how have you compiled such broad knowledge?"
All my studies came because of IBS and chronic fatigue syndrome. Sorta forced into helping myself. Great news is my brother is now Pre-med and is close to finishing his Nutritional Herbologist degree through Dr. Christopher - so within 8-9 years we will have another smart, caring doc out there!
"Whatever the answer, the world needs more people like you!"
Thank you sir. Look closely at the number of posts on this site that provide anecdotal advice and answers and you will see: there are a lot of caring folk out there willing to share their experiences. That's what I think is the greatest asset of the web, you can unite with people who not only know what you are feeling (would be tough for an MD to have experienced every disease, yet alone be willing to try herbs, etc. which do not pay him/her) but with those who got better!
Cheers!
