I am having extreme sensitivity to certain foods. My tinnitus fluctuates dramatically with what i eat or drink. Sometimes it looks like food intolerances like wheat, corn, dairy, rice,..etc.. and sometimes it seems to be more just a reaction to Sugar or caffeine that fluctuates.
I am also having problems with root canal pain and i think that's related. I am very frustrated. i am down to 98 pounds. it is hard to find food to eat that doesn't set off my ringing. i would love to clear out my food intolances or find a way to end reactions once they begin. or even just understand what is going on... why is this happening?
are other people noticing this? any theories?
thanks? what can be done? i am trying to get my jaw checked out so this would be separate from that.

If you really believe it's tied to food there is only on way to know for sure. I would do the master cleanse. Now this isn't for everyone, and if you are only 98 pounds, then you might only want to do it for 10 days. When you are clean, then you can easily introduce one food at a time. If you still have the ringing towards the end of the 10 days, then you most likely don't have a food allergy .
I mean, that seems logical to me? But I hesitate to even suggest it, given your weight. Perhaps you can go on the Master Cleanse Forum (if you don't already know about this) and ask them. There are some real experts there. I had amazing results in 6 days, but the ringing persisted throughout.

This is a reply to # 1,092,477I've had tinnitus for so long (about 50 years) that it's almost like background noise, I'm used to it, though it is aggravating. Aspirin is sometimes supposed to initiate tinnitus and I do use aspirin, but have gone off of it for several weeks and never had the ringing even slow down. My ringing does rise and fall in volume and while I can't pinpoint everything, there are a couple of triggers. I'm not a heavy drinker, but alcohol will often turn the volume way up. That doesn't happen until the day after, but I know it's related. I have one or two martinis on the weekend, and that's all it takes. I have gone without alcohol for several months and that calmed the tinnitus way down. Enough to quit? Not really. Another thing I've noticed that precedes an increase in volume is stress. If I get really stressed out, that will bring it on too. I'm a meditator so I have ways to deal with stress.
My tinnitus has been backing off over the past three or four weeks, noticeably. About 4 weeks ago I started using a Neti pot for my sinuses - at the suggestion of my doctor, and am leaning to that as to what is helping it. When I had my sinus infection before I began using the Net pot, the ringing was about driving me up the wall and the doc said that it was because my sinus cavities were plugged which caused a major echo. With my sinuses cleared, the ringing is much better. Doing nasal irrigation three and sometimes more times a day it took several days for my sinuses to clear out. Now that they are clear I do the Neti pot daily, per her suggestion. (I have a history of sinus problems.)

This is a reply to # 1,092,477Pattiluv, I have noticed that excess sodium/salt, processed Sugar and caffeine affects my tinnitus. It makes it louder for much longer. I have found a bread called Ezekiel bread that is low sodium/no sodium. It is good toasted or grilled. Try some sliced swiss cheese (about 45 mg sodium a slice) and sliced tomato and then grill it in a sandwich in Ezekiel bread (at Kroger). Also you have to eat fresh foods, NO PROCESSED FOODS! They are full of sodium. I also bake with Stevia powder extract, a new natural sweetener. I have been eating alot of unsalted nuts, and baked potatoes with unsalted butter and sour cream and fresh fruit. I have also been using Cavender's no salt seasoning. It is quite good and can be found at Walmart. I converted a meat loaf recipe to be low sodium. YUM! Also try not to eat late at night. I have found that eating itself makes it louder but it calms a little after awhile. Try not to eat after 7pm at the latest. Avoid NSAIDS - ibuprofen, advil, aleve, aspirin. Take Tylenol, it seems to be okay. I have also lost alot of weight. It was so scary when this ringing started. I was afraid to eat and I couldn't sleep. All I could do was cry ALOT! And I PRAY quite alot. I am down to a size 4. I have been that size for 16 years! I hope this helps. God bless.

This is a reply to # 2,436,743Have you looked into salicytate allergy or intolerance??? Ive been having simialr issues plus more...easliy agitated over nothing, dropping things and memeory issues plus what people seem to call brain fog. Salicytate seems to be in everything. I have a almond stone fruit allergy or thats what i thought it was but when i got a skin infection realized that it was being agitated by almond oil in my conditioner which is why it wasnt healing but is still causing issues though so much better since dicontinuing the conditioner. Almonds are hogh in salicytates i found out so i think that what im having negative effects from now. I also have been taking zinc, magnesium, omega 3 which are suppose to help your body metabolise salicytates better and trying my best to stay away fron high amounts of salicytates.Just not eating sadly seems to help me the most but i obviously still eat just tested it for a few days plus only used disinfectant soap dawn and baking soda in the shower. I felt amazing for a week. No tinnitus for the first time ever healing wounds again but I have to eat and everything seems to have salicytate in it. Dont know if thats the problem even but I cant tell you how bummed i was when all my symptoms came back after feeling like a normal person for a week. Now I notice all so much more😞 also when i was salicylic acid and other lotions high in that acid my jointa started to get really sore, not pain, just sore and kinda stiff and felt uncomfortable to move them. That went away now but was very noticeable when using the products in excess which. Do you ecer experience any of this?
