Hi,
Thought I'd give an update since it's been about four weeks.
I started this after OPing, after starting into a H. Clark Parasite cleanse. Of all the stuff I was considering doing, this seemed like the least intrusive. Overall I'm very pleased and surprised by the results. There have been a few chuckholes, but nothing I could say are the results of OPing.
The results are my overall dental hygiene has improved considerably. I thought I had good teeth to begin with, but they are great now. My gums are pinker and firmer. I think my teeth are whiter.
Before I started OPing my teeth were sensitive, and I had pain in two filling areas. With a few short-term instances these have disappeared, and I will describe those below. About 14 days into it I noticed my gums had pulled away. I assume as my gums got healthier, the slight inflammation left, leaving healthy gums. The results appeared to be gum recession, but have not changed since then. I didn't think I was this vain, but wrinkles around my eyes have been disappearing, and my double chin has been firming up. This may also be related to some of the other things I'm doing, but I think my skin has a better hue to it. I'm hoping to win the New Born Baby's Rear End award.
What I have discovered is I have one filling that is leaking. A few years ago a filling came out. I've always suspected the dentist did a bad job. There had been pain in that area for a considerable amount of time. In addition, I had to use hydrogen peroxide on a weekly basis to clean my ears out. Since I started OPing there is no longer pain, but now I have to clean my ears on a daily basis. So I'm reading the CZ to decide what to do there.
I OPed on Olive Oil the first day.
I OPed on Flaxseed Oil the second day.
I've OPed on Sesame Oil until 3 days ago when I switched to coconut oil.
I am going to switch back to sesame oil. The taste of coconut oil is great, but my teeth are getting sensitive. I don't know if it is the oil, or the weekly parasite maintenance. There are times they seem to be getting sensitive, but I cut back on the minutes I OP. Really can't say it is the oil. I'm introducing so many things (colon cleanse, parasite cleanse, liver flushes, kidney cleanse, diet) that it's hard to determine cause and effect. When I say sensitive, it's the way my teeth get when I eat raw vegetables for a week or more, which I've been doing a lot recently.
There was also a 6-hour period when I was prepping for a liver flush that one of my molars with a filling became very painful. I believe that had more to do with the other stuff I was doing.
What I can say is my mouth has never felt this clean even after the first day I tried it. The only thing I can say is work your way into it to find out what your body likes. If it's 30 minutes and flaxseed oil...... you go for it. If not start out at 5-10 minutes.
If you have any questions, Laura (Sandburg) has been great. She is still probably laughing about my questions on how much hydraulic pressure you needed to squirt the oil between your teeth (you don't need any).
If you have not tried it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. It's amazing that something so simple can produce such astonishing results.
Arnold
Thanks.
I'm afraid broken knee caps are like broken hearts. You just have to move on. Hope you got a chuckle or two out of that.
The Iodine, Parasite, and MicroBiology forums are sort of mind numbing with the breadth and depth of knowledge. I just keep revisiting/re-reading, and things start to come together.
I originally started on CureZone because of a rapid weight gain that I related to pre-diabetes. After the initial review, I realized other things I was experiencing were all symptoms of some root problems. That is, fatigue and memory function. After some of the emotional swings I went through doing the parasite cleanse, depression can probably be added to the list. Not that I felt worse, but there were some days I felt so good that going back to normal is not an option. I think the majority of my parasite issues are bacteria/virus related.
At first I thought it might be mercury poisoning (which is still a strong case), but after Oil Pulling I think there is a bacteria connection also. This has to do with memory function in addition to other disorders. Probably due to amalgams??? (metal fillings in teeth). Probably the same with the Mercury. I firmly believe Oil Pulling has reversed and/or held in check the bacteria.
It's been interesting doing this stuff. Initially have to wonder what is happening to my mind/body. Once you understand that, you start eliminating theories and adding new ones. I can see where someone can get into trouble if they are not careful. Most of the time I do things, and do not really understand what is happening. There is a lot of inter-connection, and everyone's experiences are predicated upon their circumstances So these forums are nice for feedback and advice.
Below is a rough draft of what I'm putting together for my self on the iodine protocol. I need to go back through and get some more information. I hope you all don't mind reviewing it.
Thanks,
Arnold
Companion Nutrients
The Iodine Protocol also seems to address the heavy metal's issue. That is, cells contain excess Bromide and Fluoride, because of a lack of iodine. Heavy Metals accumulate due to a lack of minerals. So to get everything back in balance one must detox everything, get in synch, and then do a maintenance program. So this is my understanding of companion nutrients, and what they do.

I'm still working on the table.
The Thyroid needs Selenium, Zinc, Magnesium, Chromium, and Iodine to function properly.
Iron deficiency reduces iodine therapy.

I need to do the calculation of PPM. I also want to find out what this bacteria does, causes, symptoms.
Dosage
Research appears to indicate that 12.5 to 50 mg maintains an appropriate iodine level. To measure, 1 vertical drop = 6.25 mg. 1 horizontal drop = 12.5 mg. To achieve detox levels, increase dosage until detox symptoms appear. If symptoms are severe, back the dosage down, and then gradually increase. Some people are taking in excess of 100 mg. The detox period lasts for three months.
