I have read somewhere, and for the life of me, cannot find the link, that you are NOT supposed to give the UNACTIVATED Miracle-Mineral-Supplement to the pets.
We have three cats, and getting them to ingest the activated Miracle-Mineral-Supplement is sometimes quite a trick. It would be LOT easier to give them just the sodium chlorite, and let the stomach acid do the activation.
Would anyone have any idea WHY it would not be safe or advisable to use the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement that is NOT activated for pets, if it seems to be OK for humans?

This is a reply to # 1,085,062I have been giving it to my dog. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to. Ever since I have been adding 3-4 drops of unactivated Miracle-Mineral-Supplement to our families filtered water, I have also been giving the same water to my dog.
Yesterday I tried her with a drop of activated mixed in egg and milk. I am hesitant to put in with her food because she is already on an anti-inflammatory drug which goes in her food. But I don't want to have to give her an egg everyday because she (like me) needs to watch her weight. I was thinking of putting it in straight milk today.
Anyway I would be very interested to hear why you can't use unactivated Miracle-Mineral-Supplement with pets also.

I looked and looked, and cannot find it anywhere, other then I remember that the author was recommending to use 1drop per 15lb weight, and said NOT to use straight

This is a reply to # 1,085,096That does not sound like anything that was in Jim Humble's books ... that would be easy to confirm by running a search in the pdf files. You could also run a search of this forum for "pet" or "animal".
The idea really makes no sense to me whatsoever ... the activated NaClO2 is far more potent, and difficult to take, especially when you consider the highly enhanced sense of smell that dogs and cats have. I would completely stick with the unactivated stuff; just monitor for the effect/reaction.- Makes a lot of sense... jana

Thanks, Scott, you are right, it is quite a piece of work trying to mask the taste and smell of the activated mix for the finicky cats, and we are getting a bit weary of trying to make them be compliant with the process.
Sanctuary actually found the source of my obvious mis-information, so that helped to clear out some of my confusion.
Just one more question - most of the available directions for the pets still recommend using the activator, but as I said, I am ready to drop it... do you suppose there is enough acid in the animals stomachs to take care of the activation process?

This is a reply to # 1,085,753The unactivated sodium chlorite will still become activated inside the body, both by stomach acids, and other internal acids, and it can also be activated by acidic foods.
Also, another thing which you could consider is doing a small (1 or 2 drops) dose of activated Miracle-Mineral-Supplement , and hiding it in something else (ie. milk for a cat).- Re: any help locating the link... Megabite

This is the link that I thought you were referring to. It said never use Miracle-Mineral-Supplement full strength. But I think they meant using it straight without diluting it at all.
And for the record, 25 lbs isn't 114 kgs. It's closer to 55kg.

Yeah, I am not native here either (originally from Europe), so I struggle with the conversions back and forth constantly...
What kills me the most is the trying to figure out how many liters and mililiters to the liquid ounces, pints, cups, teaspoons and tablespoons and vice versa - WOW, talking about some serious boggling of the mind!!!
Anyway, the original text says
"for each 25 pounds (114 kg) of body weight"

This is a reply to # 1,085,393I knew that 114 kgs couldn't be right. I only weigh 62kg and the dog is much smaller than me.
Yeah I can't figure ounces and pints at all. Metric is a far superior system, and much easier to use.

I'm new here. I have been giving Miracle-Mineral-Supplement to my 16 year old Dachshund on and off, since 18 December 2007, with very good results. I have also been taking it myself since 17 December 2007, also with very good results.
For my little dog, I simply followed Jim Humble's book, although I only used one drop since my little dog is about 25 lbs.
This is an extract from Jim Humble's book 2.
(8) Animals, use with any sick animal: For smaller animals use three
drops per 25 pounds of body weight. For horses and other larger
animals, use one drop for each 25 pounds of body weight. Use an
appropriate amount of vinegar, wait, and normally use water added
instead of juice. Most animals will go ahead and drink, but you may
have to force feed the animal. In that case a turkey baser with a
large squeeze bulb bought at most grocery stores works fine. If there
is a question use smaller doses at first.
Feel free to correct me, but I'm sure approx 2.2 lbs = 1kg which would make 25 lbs = 11.36 kgs.

Ok, so do you use ACTIVATED Miracle-Mineral-Supplement and how do you mask the taste for the dog to want to eat it?
I really have no intention of putting myself or the cats through the agony of using the turkey baster and not surprisingly, they really do not care for the taste or smell.
We use the activated mixture and always have to mask it with lot of canned food, and of course that probably weakens the effectiveness of it in the first place.

I have been meaning to reply, but I do shift work and havn't been on line for a few days.
To answer your question, I give my little 16 year old dog 1 drop Miracle-Mineral-Supplement x 5 drops citric acid with 1/2 glass water (about every 2 to 3 days) and squeeze it gently into the back of her mouth, using a small plastic bottle. Of course she doesn't like it but the benefits are amazing. I actually gave her 2 drops yesterday.
She has more energy, she used to sleep all day, now she gets out and walks around. Even barked at a visitor the other day, she hasn't done that for a long time. She has got a cancerous looking tumor on her left eyelid, it's been there for a long time but it seems to be clearing up. Also her eyes were cloudy, (perhaps cataracts)they are becoming much clearer now. I have been taking photos but I want to wait a bit longer before I show them.

Thanks so much Sanctuary, I am pretty sure, that was it. It said not to use the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement full strength, and I just automatically translated it in my mind as "do not use Miracle-Mineral-Supplement
that is not activated"... man, and I was driving myself crazy trying to find where I found the info... thanks for helping me to preserve my sanity!! :-)
How long have you been giving the sodium drops to your dog, and have you noticed any effects at all?

This is a reply to # 1,085,391I have only been giving it to her unactivated for less than a week and now the activated drops for the past two days. I put the activated drops in milk today and she drank it ok. I haven't seen any change in her as yet. She is very old and not doing so well. Not sure if the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement will help her or not, but I have to try, if you know what I mean.
