Hemp is NOT marijuana. Marijuana is selectively bred to be a dangerous drug that causes people to act stupid. It was never that way before man got ahold of it. Maybe it feels good but that doesn't make it good for you. And even if it's not having harmful effects, the fact that it's illegal is a good enough reason for any rational, non-addicted person with a real life to put it down.
Industrial hemp is selectively bred NOT to be a drug. In fact, it contains higher amounts of a natural chemical that acts against the THC molecule -- it's literally an anti-drug. Hemp has many health benefits not present in comparable plants. It produces both fiber and seed, in great abundance, which are superior to those found in other plants. This is GREAT stuff -- highly nutritious, easy to grow, and useful.
And it's illegal. For one reason: pot smokers. You guys are the ones making it illegal, making people afraid of it. Sure it's no excuse, the government's being stupid and all that, but the fact remains. If there were no reefers, hemp would be perfectly legal. By smoking the illegal, dangerous cousin of hemp, you are making it illegal to grow this priceless product.
As to racism, think about it. You have to get educated and not be impairing your mind with substances if you want to overcome prejudice. Very few white people these days think racism is a good idea, and the few who do could probably be persuaded otherwise if they had any education. But plenty of people have subconscious, unintentional fears. If they see other races as a bunch of reefers and drunks it's just going to reinforce those feelings, not make them go away.
It's poverty and ignorance that causes people to feel the need to resort to drugs. Give people an education and a comfortable environment, and they suddenly have better things to do than mj or booze. But it's a vicious cycle, those substances stop you from getting educated and a good job.
Please, for your own sake, and the sake of your fellow human beings, quit smoking that stuff. The high isn't helping you, it's tearing you down.
