Ok...the Vitamin C did several things almost immediately for me. 1st I got a head-ache within minutes, then I got itchy all over, but mostly on a particular spot on my back shoulder blade that is a chronic itch. I plan on having my son dose that spot with
Iodine for some days in a row..see how it helps. Then, it helped ease the pain in my leg, and generally all over. Lastly but most importantly it loosened my bowels, and helped me to eliminate early this morning.
I am almost positive the pain has been coming from my upper colon, the part that turns and is just starting to go down, so that is my transverse colon and the pain comes when it gets backed up with matter, can't move it out because it's become lazy over my ill health years, so I get those very painful spasms which go from the decending colon across the transverse colon to the ascending colon. I don't know why it goes in that order, but the pain always starts on the left side. Must get stuck just before it turns and goes into the descending colon. This is my best guess about that pain.
So, I've once again found the motivation to up my raw foods diet in %, starting with herbal tea this morning, then an orange. I'll have fresh green juice later, then fruit or a fruit smoothie which I always add 1 T of Mt. High Low Fat Yogurt for the probiotic. I'm picking concord grapes today, and I have fresh cranberries, so I'm going to juice them together and have that for a couple days. I plan on eating a lot of the grapes too! I also have salad veggies, and avocados..so I can have salad or a green smoothie.
So, no cheating with some things I've been having lately like coffee with
Sugar (1 C a day lately) and the one cooked meal a day I have been having since I moved last month. I have plenty of fresh produce now, so I'm good there. If I cheat I'll have a piece of 12 grain bread with real unsalted butter.
The priority for me it looks like is building better colon health again, since I've been lax doing that it's gotten lax in it's job!
Thanks so much for the reminder and motivation to take the grams of V-C! I'm going to keep that up for now.
