Where do you live?
I can testify that Americans that have never been out of the country have parasites. Little did I know, Americans can also be infested with animal liver flukes. I knew that liver flukes are a big problem for cattlemen and sheepmen, especially in the Pacific Northwest- and anywhere that it is wet, and there are snails/slugs..but little did I know that I could myself be infested with them.
After having severe liver congestion/pain for 2 years, and not getting anwers from medical tests as to why my liver enzymes were staying elevated and the dull pain was a constant thing..I started doing liver flushes, and getting stones out..but I was also told by Dr. Sutter that the stones were an indication that he was sure I had a
parasite problem in the liver, most likely liver flukes. I started the Barefoot deworming tincture 3 and 1/2 weeks ago, and he was right, I've had a severe liver fluke infestation- and yes, I've seen a whole lot of adult liver flukes, whole. :) and no, I haven't been freaked out, I've been more curious than anything, and happy to be getting those suckers out of there after all the misery they've caused me for so long (without me knowing what it was!)
Most people will not see anything, but it doesn't mean they aren't being cleansed of the
parasites and eggs. I'm just not most people- I've spent a lot of time around cows- 600 head of beef cows, but I practically also lived with my gentle, mama nurse/milk cows that I graphed extra calves onto.
I am concerned for my 3, 24 year old twin daughters, and 20 year old son. They most likely have them as well (and I haven't lived in the area where I know I picked them up for 12 years now, and I lived in that area in Oregon for 16 years prior to leaving there)from having lived there, and also been around the gentle cows/calves too- along with eating the beef of the cows that we knew had liver flukes- we never could save the livers because of them (sorry if I offend anyone that hates the whole idea) and I don't know if that is another way of getting the flukes or what. We don't have the same problem with the liver flukes in the high desert of Nevada where we own a ranch now. I felt horrible one time when my son was about 5, he, and his aunt and cousins that were visiting all got cryptosporidium from drinking some fresh, raw cow's milk. I took him to the emergency room in the middle of the night.
In cases where
parasites are suspected, especially when someone has been out of the country, the Dr's will give the one week, chemical treatment, but from what I understand that doesn't do the total kill on the parasites, because it doesn't get them in all their stages, eggs, larvae etc.
My twin 24 year old daughters are my biggest concern for parasites- not just from the liver flukes..but from being out of the country as well. My one daughter came home from a school semester in Fiji, living with Fijian locals- with stomach problems, and was given the one week treatment; but is also in the military- and left a few months later, deployed to Afghanistan where she spent a year and just got back from in June. Just spent a few weeks in Greece, is now in Italy, and will spend time in E. Europe where her twin sister is living/working, traveling all around.
But, mom has never, ever been out of the country..and yes,
parasites are very prevelant in America, and no, you don't have to live in the "slums" to get them, and NO Dr's don't find them. I just wonder how many ailments people DO end up with in the Dr's offices have been caused from parasites to begin with? cancers, ulcers, liver problems etc. I know for myself that the liver flukes (AND other parasites I've seen) have done a # on my liver, and internal organs, and will take time to heal even after they are gone- not to mention the bacteria's/ammonia etc from them being in our organs. I will forever be grateful for Dr Sutter's advice, finding knowledgable, experienced, very helpful people on Curezone, and herbal dewormers!!!! (Thanks Barefoot and ALL that supply them!)
