Day 5 - Day 6 am
Day 5 of Master Cleanse

Strangely I had some pain in the tendon that connects my hamstring to my pelvic bone. It's a deep tendon that I hurt very badly when I was in college, doing the splits unwarmed up. So it was an odd sensation to have that pop up again. It's funny to be so textbook. I read all these comments about people's old injuries coming back and I thought, "I don't have any old injuries." Oh, yeah except THAT one. But today it's gone.
I got hives again last night from eating the coconut in my show, but at least I was given a VERY small piece so it wasn't as bad.
Another small note, the grey sea salt REALLY does taste better, the SWF goes down in only a couple long glugs.
This morning, I had a solid BM after 5 days of no solid food (except the tiny coconut pieces). It was rather a surprise to have that sensation again, "Oh what's THIS?" I've lost 6 pounds so far and I'm REALLY losing size. It's still early on the 6th day and I'm a little more tired and cranky, but these I recognize as PMS symptoms. I'm wondering what that's going to be like on the fast. I normally get pretty bad cramps, so between my senna tea and that I could be in for an extremely uncomfortable Monday. Or, the cleanse could leave me with NO cramps...wouldn't that be lovely!
MY skin is totally clear, though my tounge is still a little white. Truth be told, I don't think my toungue has EVER been pink. Not that I've noticed anyway. What does that say?
My sense of smell is completely heightened. I was in my car yesterday with 3 other people and someone opened a container of pasta with veggies and parmesan. I had to open the window, it was OVERPOWERING. It smelled great but it was a little much. Having food around doesn't bother me. I haven't had the overpowering urge to chew something, which is strange because I'm such an emotional eater. But man, macaroni and cheese just smells GREAT. Hummus and garlic, and tomato soup are miraculous.
I have TWO friends who, when they found out I was doing the cleanse, told me that THEY had been thinking about trying it and after hearing my testimonial I think are convinced. So after my wedding I think I'll have a little Team Cleanse to start back up with.
I'm reading about the Raw lifestyle. It seems like it must be so hard, but I really find it fascinating. What's the best book to read about how to start? I've heard you need dehydrators and stuff to really be able to make interesting meals. But I don't know. There's a restaurant in the LA area that I want to try...maybe I'll make that trip this next week.
Feeling Great! Best of luck to everyone out there who's doing it and if anyone has any raw book or site tips, let me know!
