Post-Days 3 and 4
Feeling fine, energised and clear-headed again.
Date: 8/2/2007 3:49:15 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 2518 times I'm feeling better again, my head's cleared up and I don't get tired any more. Actually, not only do I not even get hungry easily, I also seem to have energy even when I haven't eaten in hours! My appetite, when I get to eat, is big though, maybe a bit bigger than I'd like, but definitely nothing unhealthy, definitely none more than before the fast. I just haven't had enough patience to pay attention to the exact moment when I get full and finish the meal there. My meals are light and generally moderately sized, but I might be able to make them even smaller if I put my mind to it. Not that I really really need to make that change anyway.
My patience is still being tested with all the various things that happen in our daily lives, I don't get upset with stressful situations, but stressful people - expecially family members - do push me a bit. I might snap at something, but quickly compose myself again. I still recognise the need for me to work on "letting go" and "taking it easy", and all in all I think I'm doing very well as I've been able to concentrate on future study options without the usual confusion and lack of concentration.
I haven't been doing the douching since I finished the fast since I first did a liver flush that definitely kept me going to the loo for the whole day, and after that I just haven't been in a convenient situation. I've had an elimination or two in these few days, so I guess I should have an enema today. I also need to get some prunes to eat, as well as my ground flaxseed.
I've now allowed myself rye bread, and today I had a bit of butter on it. I'm looking forward to keeping up the new habit of me and mum's, buying yeastless rye bread if bread needs to be used at all, and using fresh avocado as spread instead of butter. I reckon I've talked at least mum out of using margarine pretty well.
Except from the tuna, I haven't had any meat yet. I'll see how far I'll be able to go without any, but I don't intend to drop it all for good. But one thing I definitely won't be reintroducing to myself is dairy, unless I can't avoid it in a difficult situation. Same to added sugar especially in the form of lollies, if really needed I will use honey.
Scalp is still very itchy and dry, and mum complained of her symptoms slowly returning after starting eating again despite from eating smartly. I need to find some colon-healing program for her. Me, I don't know, the only means I really have at the moment in treating my candida overgrowth is controlling it with my diet. I've done colon cleansing already, possibly should do some more, but right now I'll probably just leave it and see first how I'll be able to resist all these lovely Finnish "treats" I haven't been able to get my hands on for two years!
