Why I Don't Juice
Juicing Is Not a Health Practice

It's like a light went off! I began studying this. It made perfect sense, apples and oranges come as a fruit, not a juice. It is made that way on purpose. Not only is the skin of vegetables and fruits and it's pulp, filled with fiber to protect our colon, but the skin (or just under it or the leaves) contains the highest amount of nutrients. And, skins are also very high in fiber, themselves. The Centre for Food Safety, Hong Kong, found in a recent study that nearly all the dietary fiber in fruits such as orange, watermelon, mango and pear was lost in their juices. According to literature, the amount of dietary fiber in juices is also much less than that in whole fruits. In removing this fiber, it also allows for a quick consumption of many calories.
I had a juice machine, I bought it years ago when I saw an infomercial of the Juiceman. He did cure himself of liver cancer with juice, but he also at a lot of the fiber too, and he was also getting a lot more nutrition that he had been prior. It's no doubt that juice has some nutrition, I just learned it isn't ideal and it is very hard on the digestive system. I also remembered that the doctor who invented the cure for cancer (www.alivizatos.com) told my Aunt and Uncle when they were in Greece, the three things to avoid is acid salt and alcohol, and he said do not drink juice, as it was way too much acid and our bodies cannot handle it. Thus, I tossed my juicer. I immediately bought a blender, and I've been blending ever since. So now it is smoothies for me. I use almond milk or rice milk as the base in a lot of them. You can throw very healthy stuff in there, too, like unprocessed coconut oil, walnuts, pure cocoa powder, etc....
...fruit juice is not the best way to consume a fruit. It is typically better to consume the whole fruit
