Day four. well last nigth i experienced hunger pains in bed. Those more experienced fasters.. i have read different things. does this mean my fast has "definitely failed" or is it quite normal?
I feel upon reflection that i should have had a juice. i listened to my body and it told me it wanted one. but it thought that if i fell asleep i'd have a long lovely dreamful sleep at night two.
not quite.
i slept for 5 hours, woke up half way through and felt i was sufficating in my hoodie top which i was wearing for my shivers. i panicked half asleep and took it off. woke up at 5am to aching legs and hunger.
I fixed myself a squeezed orange and pear juice, a hot water bottle, went outside to check out the birdsong and wonderful misty dawn fresh air which i love so much. took a deep breath and made myself a cup of herbal.
back in bed for a bit - feel much better! if i am to listen carefully to myself again, i think i need to cleanse my colon. its quite expensive here but i have googled and found a potential relitively local place so i hope to go today or tomorrow. lack of BM not helping. i downed a glass full of soaked linseeds yesterday, still no joy!
Have lost a further 2 lbs! down to 9 stone 13. I feel great, just need to some extra juices and a cleanse/bm.
i had really achey legs this morning. i have heard this might be losing electrolytes too fast or even down to body leaching on tendons! but i think that is only on lengthy fasts. I read that a study was undertaken with 10 men who fasted for 10 days and walked 300 miles or something. they all lost NO lean mass. interesting isnt it? I guess because they were using their muscles a lot. anyway if achey legs due to elec. loss then i can just slow down detoxing process by taking more juice and not so much wheatgrass. anyway itt was probably just the 90 mins of cardio and then sitting in a freezing pub! note to self and others
* do not do vigorous exercise or too much exercise on fast. "energy levels can be fickle, conservation is wise"
* keep warm! (i.e no vest tops in freezing pubs in april!!!)
warmest wishes to all on their juice fast xx
