Quitting Smoking
Quitting smoking and removing mercury fillings.

Zyban helped me quit the first time-- I was amazed that a little purple pill could put a stop to my 2-3 pack a day/23 year addiction, in a matter of two weeks. I remained 'smoke free' for over 6 months and should never have started again, however, it seems this is the pattern for smokers- sometimes it takes more than one try.
I noticed a drastic increase in energy and vitality when I quit and an equally drastic decrease in the same, when I restarted the nasty habit. *OBVIOUSLY* cigarette smoke disagrees with my body, therefore, I'm psyching myself up to quit again, for good this time.
Beyond that, my diet is terrible . . . horrible. If you are what you eat, no wonder I feel sick. I have to change my lifestyle.
Funny how you can feel so overwhelmed by things you do to yourself . . .

When I quit smoking the first time, I tried a most unconventional and probably disgusting thing: Urine therapy. That was two years ago, and I did it for about 4 months-- a glass of morning pee every day . . .
But surprise, surprise! I have never been 'sick' with a cold or the flu, or anything since. I don't know if I'll ever try that route again, because it really was a nasty way to go, but I'm wondering. UT supposedly balances and strengthens your immune system and if my ailments are immune system related, then it may help again. I never told a single soul about my UT experiment, for fear of ridicule. What do you tell people? "Hey, I drink my own pee for breakfast and I feel great!" Not something you really want to brag about. lol I might try it again, however, when I quit smoking again.
Speaking of quitting smoking, I don't want to use 'drugs' to aid me this time. I want to do it naturally, since I believe most of my problems are due to toxicity in my body and perhaps my body can't tolerate chemicals, like whatever is hiding in my cigarettes and in the remedies for smoking cessation.
Years ago, I learned about a natural way to quit:
Vitamin C
Cinnamon gum
Lots of water
Moderate exercise
Sounds good, except for the Vitamin C-- you have to take a lot of it but how much can your body tolerate?
Another option is the 'cold turkey' approach. If my mind is 'psyched' for something like that, maybe I can do it, but even thinking of doing it that way is daunting, to say the least. Whatever the case, I have to do it. I don't want to be sick my whole life.
Mercury fillings may also be a contributor to my ailments. I had a mouthful of mercury fillings. I had most of them replaced but haven't replaced the last one yet. I just made an appointment to have it done at the end of January. That gives me a few weeks to psyche myself up to quit smoking . . . getting my teeth cleaned, too.
Other things that I can immediately do are cutting down on caffeine consumption, trying to eat healthy foods, and drinking lots of pure water.
Even writing all this down makes me feel encouraged.
Thanks for listening again.
Sincerely,
Faran
