Day 4
Blood work for liver damage done today at doctor
Date: 8/26/2006 12:56:54 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 3854 times I went to the doctor today and got blood work done. The nurse checked my stomach and told me that it didn't seem like I had an inlarged liver or anything was abnormal. That made me feel a lot better but I still have to wait for the blood work comes back before I can jump to conclusions.
I also told the doctor about insomina that I have been dealing with as long as I have been with drinking. She prescribed me Rozerem and I took it about 45 minutes ago and have to say that I will be making this short because I still have to take a shower before bed and I'm getting really tired in a good way. I have been taking over the counter sleep aid from walmart for years and years but it makes me feel like crap for the whole next day until I drink coffee or something. Hopefully this wont make me feel like that since I paid about 4.00 for each of these pills. I don't have insurance for another 90 days because I just started a new position. I told my girlfriend that it better than spending it on a 6 pack every night.
I am going back to the lake this weekend and spending time with my girlfriend's parents. Me and her dad will go fishing and I'm certain to not drink. The wine thing the other night was stupid. There is something that needs to be deprogrammed in my head though and I know it's going to take time. Take for instance tonight... Tonight my daughter had to use the bathroom so we stopped at a quick mart type of store. While I was waiting for my daughter and girlfriend to finish I walked into the huge beer cooler just to do something. I started looking at all the prices and then I thought, what the heck am I doing in here? It is just so normal for me to put myself in those surroundings and it must be my comfort zone. It will take time and I am willing to fight it as long as I'm alive.
Also, I complete my second day of my juice fasting. I feel great and less hungry than yesterday!
