Prepping before Day 1
My Master Cleanse grocery list as well as some thoughts.
Date: 7/10/2006 2:51:09 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2137 times I'm so excited about starting the Master Cleanse diet! I have read a lot about it and truly feel this is one of the best ways to cleanse my body of all its impurities. Below is a list of all the things I bought today to prepare for the diet:
-12 lemons (because it's not lemon season, I couldn't buy them organic)
-100% Organic Grade B Maple Syrup (from Whole Foods - $12)
-100% Organic cayenne pepper ($5)
-Organic Yogi Tea "Get Regular" laxative tea( ($5)
-Sea salt ($2)
I made myself a sample drink tonight to see what it would taste like.. and it's surprisingly really good!!! Without the cayenne pepper, it tastes just like regular lemonade (even better!). Since I think it's going to be a pain drinking the "lemonade" with cayenne pepper, I'm going to take one woman's advice and mix a couple drops of water and cayenne pepper in another shooter glass and just drink that. That way I can enjoy my "lemonade" drink, while still getting the required cayenne dosage.
Also, I found out that half of one giant lemon from Whole Foods makes about 2 tbsp, which is what is required for each serving. That means if I drink about 8 glasses a day, that's only 4 lemons used. (..not bad considering that the cashier woman at Whole Foods today told me that some guy came in there and bought 12 lemons to use on the MC diet for only one day! that's ludacris! he must be drinking like 25 cups of the mix!!!)
Anyway, I just finished drinking my first cup of the "Get Regular" tea.. I feel pretty good. I can't wait to wake up in the morning and do the Salt Water Flush. I wonder how it'll affect me? I'm excited to find out! (Although I will say.. the one thing I'm really worried about is finding out what comes out my intestines... I hope i don't have any parasites!!!!!!)
