Why am I doing this?
This is why I'm doing this- my starting point.

I was really interested in the whole detox aspect of it. I'm constantly on a chocolate binge cycle and I wanted to break that sugar addiction (and carb addiction). I always seem to get into a terrible cycle with sweets, and I lost 35 pounds 3 years ago and I knew I was starting bad habits up once again.
I am interested in losing the last 5 or 10 pounds. I'm very skeptical if they can be kept off however; I'm a firm believer in healthy eating and know what I need to fuel my body, so I'm under the theory that any weight I lose on this fast I will most likely regain- which is ok. It's not a goal of mine, but I consider it a perk.
It's also very interesting to me to challenge my body. What is it like to go through this; to not eat any real solid food for 10 or even 14 days? I've read much and everyone has different experiences- how will mine be? I'm very curious to find out what effects this will have on me, and what better way to test your will power? Think about it- it's only for 10 days... it's not that long when you think about it, but it sure seems so impossibly difficult. It's good to test yourself once in a while; at least that's what I think.
Ok, here's my vitals ATM:
female, age 34, single, no children
5 feet 3 inches tall
122 pounds, semi athletic build
I put semi athletic because I feel at my age group I'm more physically active than most of my peers and I feel no pain or tenderness if I'm hiking or decide to play tennis one day. My boyfriend and I spent the day at Cedar Point (an amusement park) one day and he complained of being stiff and sore the next day- I felt nothing. I bike a few days a week, walk the dogs, garden, play tennis, etc... I'm still fairly active. Of course I have days where I just sit around too though. ;)
