Days 2 and 3
Less juicing and more master cleanser
Date: 10/20/2006 4:13:44 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2431 times I am still on my juice fast. Yesterday I only had juice twice and today just once. I am drinking a lot of master cleanser drinks. I am so glad that I have fasted for 20 days already and know what to expect. It makes it easier when I want to stop and just pick up something and eat!
I worked so hard at work tonight. I was feeling pretty exhausted from so much physical work and I was worried that I was deteriorating from lack of Wendy's 99 cent menu that I have ate at religiously for the past 4 months. I have to say I do eat more salads than I ever had in my whole life though. My body craves salads at least 1 time a week.
I am getting more insight from reading about people eating raw than ever before. I just read an article that said there is no such thing as a terminal ill person that ate raw. I would like to see more proof on this because wouldn't that be so motivating?
Hey, I made it 3 days now and no alcohol either which is still tempting as ever. The fasting does help it though, the cravings are less intense. I have to see what happens this weekend because food and alcohol will tempt me but I don't think I will give in.
I am already benefiting from 3 days and I wonder how long I will go this time? I would be extremely happy with 10 days. As you can see, I really don't set a date. Do you other fasters set a date to go by? I don't know if if that would help me go longer or not?
There was a reply on my day 1 that asked about my doctor visit. Long story short... liver test came back normal and yes I used it as a free ticket to drink. I just had a horrible flu and thought it may have been cirrosis. I'm sick (alcoholic) and it scares me to death. I am in rehab now and I am on my 3rd day of sobriety. The fasting helps me so that is another reason why I am fasting again.
One last thing. When you go to sleep you do a dry fast right? No food/water and then you wake. Ok, when we get sick (or when an animal gets sick), we usually rest and don't eat or really drink a lot either. This is a type of fasting where the body heals itself, right? I read that article while ago and it pointed this out. I thought it was intresting.
